We didn't have many choices for our last minute stop in New Bern as many hotels were fully booked for the weekend. In making reservation online, was asked if we wanted foam pillows, etc.

Front desk staff friendly and helpful. One breakfast staff person helpful; other was slow and not very happy. Much of the breakfast was still not out at 7:15am; someone knocked on door and requested they come out and turn on juice machine, which took another 5 minutes. The food was good, especially the waffles with bits of raspberries, but I would have liked yogurt, but didn't know it was coming out at 7;15am and we were heading out right after we ate. Hot water dispenser in the evening was not hot. Didn't try the lobby coffee.

We had a King suite. The sitting area was good. Desk was small. TV had snow on some channels and no immediately apparent access to digital broadcast channels, but we were too tired to watch anyway. Space was relatively tight in the sleeping area. Could turn fan/ac on to run continuously, which helps with the problems mentioned with the noisy cycling on/off. Block out curtains, but did not cover entire space so some bright parking lot light around the edges (I always wake up in the night disoriented, thinking it must be morning in such rooms) Walk in shower, but awkward door placement in front of toilet. Small counter area around sink and no place to hang toiletry bag. Bed was firm with lots of pillows.

Despite a family reunion of 50+ people, the hotel was quiet and we got a good nights sleep.

The nearest restaurant is a Golden Corral a block away.

This was a nice hotel. However, our room was on the 5th floor. There was a constant roar-almost like a jet engine-coming from the AC units on top of the building making it difficult to sleep. Would recommend this hotel-just ask the front desk to book you on a lower floor.
Also, free wifi very slow.

Very clean, great staff and outstanding breakfast choices! On the way to Hilton Head, a little out of the way, but stopped to visit w/son in law's family and we are glad we did. Will make the detour anytime as this hotel was perfect w/family nearby!

Everything was brand new and clean.

The fitness room was nice, with two treadmills, a recumbent bike, and a weightlifting area. I didn't use the pool, but it looked great.

The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel, with a huge variety of foods, from make-your-own waffles to oatmeal with accoutrements to egg and sausage english muffins (plus the typical cereal, yogurt, and cinnamon buns).

Our room had two double beds and a pull out sofa bed (all essentially in one room, though there was a slight divider between the doubles and the sofa bed). It was very nice, though it would've been convenient if there were a wall between the two areas.

The area surrounding the hotel is just retail, but it's a short drive from downtown New Bern.

This hotel is amazing. Everything was so clean and modern. It must be fairly new.

We enjoyed the indoor pool. It was clean and well ventilated. I liked how it had doors opening towards the outdoor patio, which helped with ventilation.

The exercise room was excellent. Treadmills had TVs and there were also free weights along with stationary bikes.

The rooms are so spacious and well-appointed. Rooms came with a fridge and microwave. I liked how there was an extra sink in the living area.

Staff was extremely pleasant and eager to please.

Breakfast was superb- there was a lovely selection of pastries, fruit, cereals and also sausage, biscuits and eggs! We did not expect such a nice breakfast.

My only complaint about the hotel is it's location. It is not downtown. We were in New Bern for the yearly MumFest Street Festival, which takes place downtown near the waterfront. We usually stay at the Comfort Suites, which is waterfront and in the middle of the festival. This time, we had to drive back to our hotel and fight festival traffic to get back to get back to our room to rest. We liked the convenience of staying downtown in the middle of the festival, which we could not do on this trip.

Even so, this hotel was so nice that it was worth the drive and inconvenience of not being downtown. I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you do not have to be in downtown New Bern.

By the way, the price was great- it is significantly cheaper than the hotels on the waterfront and much nicer! Plus, you get an indoor pool here (the downtown hotels only have outdoor pools).
