I have checked out of the hotel bridge pointe. It is dirty, it smells very bad and something bit me on the neck last night. These accommodations are very unsatisfactory in my opinion. I understand we are trying to keep cost down I really do but I can’t live in filth and wake up with bug bites every day either.

Our work required us to stay away from home so we needed to find a place to stay. We called almost 10 hotels before we found Bridgepointe who was willing to take us and our four-legged child, a 6 year old Jack Russell. After being very frustrated from making a lot of phone calls, the receptionist, Kate, was very kind and patient in giving me directions and their availabilities. When we got to our room, which had a beautiful view of the marina, we rested well on a very comfortable bed, and relaxed in a quiet and spacious room. The continental breakfast was great the next morning. It was a very pleasant experience; we wish we could have stayed longer.

We were greeted by Gary one of the front end staff he was very helpful and informative as to what was going on in the area and what would be the best access to our room. the room was smoking but they still need to air it out a bit more. I meet one of the employees in the parking lot seemed nice enough but when she went on break that was it she was on break would not help us at all. The remote did not work in the room and we had to go up front to get that fixed where there just so happened to be a popcorn machine that obviously the only one who knew how to work it was the lady in the parking lot that was on break, (it takes less then 3 minutes to make). Customer service needs allot of work.

The front desk staff was rude upon arrival. The hotel was not super clean and stank of cigarette smoke. The door lock didn't work well. The breakfast was so-so. The only thing good about this place was the coffee. On our checkout day one of the employees burst into our room without knocking. I was not impressed and wished I would have spent the money to stay at a nicer place. Also, the swimming pool was very dirty.

I was actually really happy with my stay here considering it was close to the cheapest in this area. Room was clean Bed was a little stiff. Great views of the water from both sides of the hotel so no matter which side you are on you get a water view. Staff was extra helpful and friendly. Outback Steak House right next door which was very convenient for dinner.

Where do I begin? Carpet was so nasty in the halls and room, didn't walk around w/o flip flops on. The breakfast was terrible, generic products. The hall and room smell was stale and old. I dropped a pen behind the nightstand, pulled out the nightstand and there was popcorn on the floor--so when was the last time someone used a vaccum cleaner? Certainly wasn't worth the money and will not return. The view was nice, but thats about it!

I stayed at this hotel in New Bern with my husband and son. At $190 a night for a suite, I had high expectations, but was very disappointed. The hotel is incredibly dated; it is in need of a serious update. It is an excellent location, and has good bones, but it is worn out. I am in my 40's, but found the bathroom treacherous. The suite had a garden tub with VERY high sides to it, but no grab bar to assist getting in and out of the tub. The pull out bed on the sofa was pretty dirty underneath the mattress, though the top was clean. They were supposed to have provided linens for the pull out, but there were none, and it took half an hour for the hotel to bring them to the room. The blanket for that pull out bed had some nasty stains/spots that appeared to be catsup. The carpet was stained, and the "amenities" included free popcorn in the lobby, for all of three hours a night. Why bother????? The people behind the counter were pleasant enough, but somehow the rest of the staff elicited pity from me, rather than making me feel welcome and taken care off.
