This complex now contains 4 Great Cats courses, soon to be a 5th. Lions Paw, Leopards Chase, Panthers Run and Tigers Eye. Lions Paw is an average course, with not a lot of challenge, and is in mediocre condition in October of 2010. Rough length was deep with cutting taking place leaving mounding of cut grass as well as overseeding.
Panthers Run was the best of the 4 courses, condition wise, though is still not a huge challenge. Fun for a group though, and in pretty good shape in October 2010.
Tigers Eye has potential to be the best course of the 4, just needs a little TLC. It was not overseeded, nor was it aerated, so the greens here were the best. Scenic and challenging, it was the course we enjoyed most. It could easily surpass Panthers Run with a little TLC.
Leopards Chase was rated the highest in the reviews I read, but was in the worst shape. Greens had to be re-sodded, greens had large bald spots, sand piles, diseases, fairways and rough are in mediocre shape, clubhouse is still a trailer. This course, even though winning a new course award in 2006, was not worth the $27 replay fee, which is saying it is poor at best.
