“Ferry ride”
Reviewed 6 December 2013

The ferry ride is the highlight of the visit. As noted elsewhere, in summer the wait for the ferry can be a bummer. Bring a good book and some food the the gulls during the ride.

“Nice but typical visitor center”
Reviewed 21 November 2013

Staff very nice & friendly, helpful info. Typical books, & nick-knacks to sell, pamphlets, handouts. Lots of information of the area. Good location by ferry terminal if you're coming from Cedar Is. If from Hatteras you may not see it until you venture down that way.

“:)”

The ferry to link you with Cedar Islands is a short but nice open ride. Laughing seagulls chases the boats, so bring some food for them to get them eating out of your hands while they are hovering in air. The wait in summer can be a nightmare, and tickets should be pre-booked.

“Friendly and very welcoming”
Reviewed 14 September 2013 via mobile

We just got off the ferry and stopped in to get information on the island --- very clean facilities they had all the information and brochures needed to tour the island ..... loved Ocracoke Island but even in Sept it was crowded --- I think the best way to travel around the island and be able to see more would be with a golf cart -- will try that next time --- enjoyed some of the small shops .....
