Two wonderful hours of entertainment. Great music, interesting story telling, and whimsical piratical poetry. If your visiting Ocracoke take an evening and spend some time here. Very intimate setting, almost like you've been invited to their homes for a night with friends.

Both the Ocrafolk Opry and Molasses Creek are great--world class, in my opinion. Both shows are entertaining and suitable for old and young and in between. There's always something a little different show--a new tale, a new song, and maybe a new act.

We try to see something at the Deepwater Theater each time we visit Ocracoke.

As an added bonus, the theater is climate controlled and free of "no-see-um's." Don't miss the Deepwater Theater during your visit.

The performances here are intimate, and one feels a part of the community, even when Capt. Rob tells jokes about "dingbarters," which is the local term for tourists, such as myself. I laughed! He laughed. We all laughed!

We went to the storytelling. Had a great time. It was like setting on the back porch and catching up. Gave a great feel for the Ocracoke community.

The night my family of four went to the theater they had an all new show because their regular cast members were off at a festival elsewhere. The audience contained a wide range of ages from babies to seniors. We heard stories and music and a few jokes from local characters and their families. The audience got to join in on a few songs and sound effects. Overall it was decent fun for everyone and the best part was that we met several of the performers throughout the rest of our stay at their other jobs around the village.
