A beautiful home away from home in the heart of waterfall country. Right on the edge of a forest and only a few hundred yards from a smallish waterfall (Key Falls), a perfect getaway for those who want to be close to nature and enjoy the beauty of the North Carolina mountains. Numerous other large waterfalls and lovely scenic hiking/biking trails are within 30 minutes drive... the perfect getaway. (A Google search for North Carolina waterfalls will bring up numerous links to nearby waterfalls.)

The inn is a historian's dream and you get a real sense of how uniquely the houses of that era were designed - no cookie cutter box-shape rooms, for sure! The hosts were wonderful and breakfasts were scrumptious every morning - lovely fresh coffee, main entree, delicious fluffy scones, variety of cereals and fruit... just perfect. Can't wait to return!

We travel with a group of couples to hike quarterly. We occupied all 5 rooms of the inn. The innkeepers were very accommodating. Rooms were quirky, but pleasant, as you might expect in a house of this age. The grounds are lovely and it is worth exploring the trails to waterfall right near the property. We opted to have Bryan cater both nite's meals for us, a very good decision! The first evening, we had appetizers around the fire pit. His smoked cheeses for appetizers, yummy barbeque and sides, and elegant pork roulade were wonderful. Breakfasts were also tasty. Brevard is a charming town, and hiking to waterfalls abounds in the area. There is also a newly constructed cabin on the property that is very nice and accommodates 2 couples. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Delightful! I had never stayed at a B&B and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable. There is a lovely waterfall on the property and plenty of space to walk with nice views. Now I'm torn between staying at the inn next time or in the cabin which is right beside the creek. It seems fairly new and has a large screened in porch, full kitchen, two bedrooms and baths. Either way, I'm looking forward to my next visit.

My boyfriend surprised me with a stay here this past weekend. He picked it because of it's huge acreage and it's affordability. I loved it because of how beautiful it was. Everything, even the creek, was beautifully manicured, and they have a waterfall on site!

We enjoyed sitting on the front porch looking for deer in the huge field with the mountains.

Our only complaint was the matress: it was very firm and I'm used to pillow tops that cradle you.

Overall, we loved it here and will definitely be returning

We spent a long weekend here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The inn is set well off of the road, so it's peaceful, and the grounds are well maintained. The house is very old, but they've done a good job of decorating and taking care of things considering the obstacles you probably face with a very old house. Janet was friendly and helpful without impinging on our privacy or ability to do our own thing while at the inn. There are quite a few places to eat in the Brevard area, so it was nice to have her input about restaurants. Everything served at breakfast was prepared fresh each morning, was always delicious, and varied each day. They clearly put some thought into each menu and don't just put the same foods out every morning. The tea and cookies provided in the downstairs sitting room each afternoon were a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

A note regarding the very good "restaurant" rating I have given. There is not a restaurant, per se. That rating is meant for the daily breakfast that is served in the spacious dining room.

Room Tip: Cochran Room. This was a very pretty room, and spacious. The bathroom for this room is not in the...

We had a great time here. The owners/staff are all so great to get to know. You will love the front porch, and the covered area in back that even has fire wood ready if you have the time to relax there. You are w/in walking distance of the waterfall. The breakfast each day was excellent. Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom a good size.
Bring your own shampoo :) You are minutes away from downtown Brevard.
