“Tasty treats in Pittsboro”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

The Phoenix Bakery is a treasure in downtown Pittsboro. Their doughnuts are amazing and the atmosphere is welcoming. We love going down on a weekend to stroll through town and finish with a treat from Phoenix while enjoying the downtown views at their outdoor tables.

“BEST Donuts in Triangle !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2014 via mobile

OMG we have some good bakeries in the Triangle but this my new Favorite. Real Jelly Donuts like i had in Austria 25 years ago. Real Lemon Curd filled Donut, Boston Cream Pie Donut, Pineapple Upside Down cakelette
And beautiful special occasion cakes
Local wholesome ingredients; donuts baked not fried but as light and tender as can be. Even some gluten-free cupcakes

“YUM”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

Unfortunately, I work nearby, and just can't go by this little bakery without helping my waistline expand. Seriously, all their baked goods are excellent. Crullers, who-hoo! As well as the sweet stuff, they offer some filled rolls?? -don't quite know how to describe these, but savory and filling. One makes a lunch!

“Astonishing Sweet Baked Goods”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2014

Right on the main street in historic Pittsboro. Baked fresh breads aren't their primary thing. But sweets! Cakes, pies, unbelievable filled donuts, brownies, cupcakes, you get the idea. Never had better. Not cheap, but this is worth the money and the calories.

“The best Pastry Shop in the Triangle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 January 2014

As a person who works in Pittsboro and frequently visits the Phoenix bakery I can attest to the fact that the quality never changes or fails and any time any day produce are fresh and delicious. Albeit menu and selection is not enormous (but steadily growing) every item is a treasure and a must try. No doubt, if you cross by Pittsboro, it is worthwhile stopping for a baked (yes, not fried) doughnut or an amazing pie.
