After our round, we had lunch at Keefer's, and really enjoyed the friendly staff, and quick service. The food was standard light fare, but it was tasty and quick. Just the thing for hungry golfers!

Stopped here for breakfast before the 10 hour drive home. This place is great. No lines, good food and good atmosphere. If you don't want to deal with the other ga-zillion people all trying to grab breakfast on the way out if OBX, head north for a few miles and follow the signs. You'll be glad you did!

You can't go wrong eating at Keefer's. The restaurant is beautiful, food is very good and the prices are great. Overlooks the golf course, so all you see while eating is green. They also have banquet rooms for private parties.

We just got back from a very trying visit to the Outer Banks. The trip there took about 13 hours from DC due to a severe storm and a five car pile up before the Wright Memorial Bridge. We were sitting in traffic for over an hour and finally saw the sign for Keefers. We decided to get out of the lightening and driving rain and go eat to pass the time until traffic cleared. We were met by the friendly staff who were sprinting around trying to serve a huge crowd of people with the same great idea. During our long wait, I happened to see a warm face who was the owner, Keith. He must have felt empathy for me as I stood before him with wet straggly hair shiverring from the chilly AC. He quickly apologized for the delay and got me a cup of hot chocolate. He even offered to get me a pair of rain paints from his golf shop to help me warm up. We finally ate a delicious dinner and found that the traffic had cleared when we left. We had such a good experience, we stopped back by to say hi and have lunch on the way home. Another really good meal. But most of all, they were our port in the storm.
