This was a big hotel and the only one I could find in the area. Room was very clean. price was over 80 dollars with tax . Carpets were pretty worn in room 161. No mention a complimentary breakfast. They did have a resturant but was pricy , I just went to McDonalds. Have stayed at better for less money and with the breakfast included, but for the area I guess this is to be expected.

Location! The Ramada was definitely in the right spot for our events at: 1. RBC Center - a super-short drive; perhaps walkable but didn't try due to high heels and rain; 2. State Fairgrounds - a short, easy walk to Gate 9; fairgoers have to pay, park, and walk anyway, so we kept our car right where it was at the hotel after checking out.

The room was clean, the front desk clerk was quick and friendly, and the hotel was quiet, even with a large group of MMA fighters in-house.

On the downside, the hotel presented potential safety issues. The first floor rooms all have sliding glass doors which open directly to the parking lot. Not only was this creepy, but we couldn't open the curtains without a wide view directly into the room. Since this was the only window, the room had no natural light; there are, however, plenty of (too) bright lamps in the room. Also, no keycard scan was necessary to open the side door!

Inside the room, there were pronounced body-sized dips in the beds. There was no refrigerator, but the room did have coffee.

Strangely out of place was a display case of very ordinary cakes and pies in the lobby. A sign showed that Sunday brunch at the on-site restaurant cost $14.95 for adults. We skipped it and went the short 6 to 7-minute drive down the highway to Whole Foods for coffee and breakfast.

The decor seriously needs updating. The hotel is nothing pretty to look at, but the old stuff is well-maintained and clean.

This is a basic no-frills hotel, but recommended for proximity to RBC, the State Fair, the NC State Vet School, and nearby attractions and businesses. It's overpriced for the quality or, rather, lackthereof, but they can justify the price due to the great location.

I have stayed at this Ramada Inn several times and have always found it to be clean and safe. Louise has a great staff and they go out of their way to assist. The Capital Room restaurant is very convenient and serves a variety of meals. I enjoy eating dinner and then moving over to the bar to enjoy a drink and watch a little sports. The Inn is located within walking distance to the RBC center, the Dorton Arena, State Fairgrounds, and James B Hunt Horse Complex. Internet is always working! After checking out, you are back on I-40 within a few minutes. And all at a great rate!

Stayed for a week for daughter's softball Nationals. Reservations for suite, not ready when arrived. Carpets stained, old decor, sheets stained, dust thick on curtains and celing fans, a/c so noisy couldn't sleep, (either to warm or too cold). Ran out of food for continental breakfast before 6:30am 4/7 mornings. For the teams with no curfues.....the screaming girls made for a tough time going to sleep. The wolf spider the size of a baseball found crawling in hall way outside my room totally did me in!!! Couldn't sleep a night through after that. The day shift manager with lack of proper customer service is what set the nail in the coffin for this place. Being a hotel owner of a small motel in Florida myself, I would suggest finding another place to stay!!!
For you softball groups......check out your rooms on line before your stay or your team will be penalized if you cancel reservations. Talk with your travel coordinator!!!!!

The room was nice. The staff was very accomadating when my roommate got stuck at the airport in KC and couldn't make it. I had to ask for a cot to stay in one of our other groups room. The north side rooms were really loud in the morning and almost sounded like they were being slammed. Horrible to wake up to. But the next night when I was in a south side room it wasn't so bad. So if you're a light sleeper take ear plugs. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay and a nice place. I imagine a summer stay would be really great with the pool and gazebo.

My boyfriend and I have stayed at this Ramada Inn twice and have been pleased both times. It is about a 20 minute walk to the RBC Center, which is why we were there. (Don't attempt to do it in the rain as there is no sidewalk and we had to walk in the mud.) Our room was clean with no odors. There was a brown stain (eww) on one of the towels, so we ran out of big towels for a shower. My boyfriend had to use a hand towel to dry off with. The continental breakfast consists of bagels, muffins, cereal, waffles, juices, and coffee. The pool area looked nice, but it was closed for the winter. The only gripe I have with this hotel is that the bed made both of our backs hurt. Not sore, but HURT! It still hurts over a month later. Overall, we were pleased with the service and hotel.
