Of the three hotels used for the STHL Conference, this Hilton is the best one. The lobby area is well lit, spacious and comfortable for sitting, waiting and meeting others. The lounge, which is just off the lobby, is spacious, accommodating with a friendly staff. The water feature is so relaxing. All the staff, always, has a smile and is courteous, polite respectful and prompt in giving service regarding accommodations, meals and meeting facilities; and giving general info of the area places to see and very knowledgeable giving directions as needed. It is always quiet, even when the hotel is fully booked. The Front Desk personnel have a smile for you as they greet you and are very cordial checking you in, even offering that warm cookie. They are prompt is getting you checked-in, guests not having to wait but a matter of minutes. The breakfast staff is always prompt, helpful and the food is hot that is suppose to be hot; and what is suppose to be cold is cold. Selections are varied to help those with diet issues. Meeting rooms are well lit and accommodating. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable with the furniture for sitting being comfortable and the beds are very comfortable making for a good night's rest. The decor in guest rooms, meeting rooms, hotel restaurant, lobby and other areas is very attractive, relaxing and up to date. The hotel guest rooms are always clean plus anywhere else you might be in the hotel. There is a great variety of TV channels to choose from for news, weather or entertainment. Housekeeping staff are always friendly showing respect to the guest taking care of their rooms without distrubing the guest. Even though the hotel is near a college campus there is no to little noise from outside and very little if any in hallways. There is easy maneuvering in hotel and outside. The hotel parking lot is plentiful in spces for parking. Phone and internet service is readily available in the guest rooms. When you are handed your key card at check-in your codes to access the internet are stapled to the key card holder. There is always someone, on staff, ready to assist with any need a guest might have. Being close to the state capitol and the legislature is also a bonus for staying at the Brownstone. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel with a variety of cuisines. Navigating the area via the streets is easy. The eating is quiet delectable. You can use the gym or take a walk down one of the streets for exercise. GPS directions are great for navigating the streets in and out of Raleigh to the hotel. It is like having the comforts of home; but not having to worry about the housekeeping, cooking, yardwork or whatever else. The guest's comfort and well-being is foremost with the staff. It is as if you are the only guest in the hotel, even with a full house. It is a top star hotel.

The hotel was great. They provided a breakfast for the athletes starting at 3:30am, and a shuttle to the start. They had backup documentation for participants about the logistics of the race, which was just a very nice touch. The staff were fantastic across the board, very helpful and very accommodating.

First off, the website says the hotel is in downtown Raleigh. It is NOT downtown. When we went to our room, there was still someone stayiing in it. They were unable to give us a similar room and ended up giving us a downgraded room. They would not allow me to cancel my reservation without charging me even though I was very unsatisfied with the fact that the hotel was not downtown and they could not give us the room we had reserved. The rooms were nice enough, but not for the price. You could get just as nice of room actually downtown for same price. I guess I should have taken a better look at the map, but being from out of town I took the website's word for it.

Nice stay at a well kept hotel. Didn't have a chance to use all amenities but, service was welcoming and helpful and the rooms were nice and clean. Appreciated the environmentally friendly bathroom fixtures.

Tara S,

Glad you and the girls enjoyed kicking up your heels in Raleigh. I say it often but I love our LOCATION!!! Also Free parking and internet, Which is not the case for all Downtown Raleigh hotels. We also have plenty of space to host your wedding reception 20 to 500! Cheers

Excellent customer service! There wasn't a refrigerator in the room so we asked for an extra ice bucket and they said they would bring us a refrigerator instead. Such a nice surprise! Great Asian restaurant just a half a block down the street.

Paige V,

Thanks for the review. Just an FYI we do have a limited supply of refrigerators and microwaves on a first come bases free of charge. The restaurant you mentioned is David's Dumplings, half block from the hotel. AWESOME food, my boss has to eat there at least once when visiting the property. Please come back and stay with us when visiting Raleigh
