“Not a bad stopover”
Reviewed 8 July 2010

My wife and I stopped here on our way back from Orlando. Its about halfway from Orlando to NYC. After reading many positive reviews I decided to book this place. It was pretty much consistent with what everyone else had previously said. Its a good place to spend a night. There was a family reunion taking place so there were about 50-75 people constantly walking the hallways or playing loud music which was a little irritating, but I got a 1 bedroom suite (was the same price as a studio) so figured why not. When I went into the bedroom it was perfectly quiet and couldnt hear any hallway noise which was great. The bed was decent, nothing special. The front desk staff was very friendly which was nice. All in all pretty good value for a hotel of this caliber

We have family nearby, and we've stayed at several of the Crabtree area hotels. We chose the Residence Inn because they both have a pool and allow pets. Free breakfast and afternoon drinks & snacks, which improves the value.

The place is very clean. We had a one-bedroom, which includes a large living area, a large bathroom area, a large closet, and a small bedroom. No king-size beds. There were two LCD TV's with lots of channels, full-size fridge, OK furniture.

The hotel allows pets, although I wouldn't exactly call it pet-friendly. There is a big fee (for a short stay), and a 75-lb. weight limit. They are not allowed in the main lobby or the elevator. Our first-floor room near the side door, therefore, had several neighbors with dogs, all barking at each other when no one was home (our pooch included). For walks, you have the maze of parking lots around this complex of hotels, which is hilly, or busy local streets.

Overall, it was probably the best-reviewed hotel in the Crabtree area which allows pets, and it was clean and breakfast was free, so I guess we would stay again.

First stop flying in from Europe - easy to find near Crabtree Mall, quick check in, clean double room suits with three TVs, kitchen etc. Free breakfast which had a OK selection of food, gym OK. Very helpful and service minded staff. Great value.

This Residence Inn is very close to Crabtree Valley Mall and has good access to I-440 and other roads. Even though traffic was always busy in the area (away from the hotel), I had no problem in getting to my destinations.

I'm not sure there's anything new I can say about a Residence Inn. This one is an excellent property, good breakfasts and good evening complimentary snacks.

Apparently you can be shuttled within a reasonable distance. They share a van with the nearby Marriott Courtyard.

Easily recommended.

We stayed in Raleigh, NC from April 5th to May 19th - and enjoyed our stay in this Residence Inn hotel. The rooms are pretty much standard across the various Residence Inn hotels throughout the US - in case you are not familiar with them, so you get a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom area. Make sure you call the hotel if you are staying one month or longer : to negotiate the rate, and relay any preferences (beer type, floor preference, local pointers for health club, etc.).

The staff in this hotel is friendly and very supportive. Not only can you use the nicely equiped gas bbq outside next to the pool - but the staff is ready to help with ice buckets, cleaning and bbq tools, etc. Anything you ask they will try to assist with. In walking distance you will find one of better shoping malls (Crabtree Valley Mall). The room rate includes room, breakfast, parking, newspaper, evening snacks, internet, ...)

On the negative side ? The airco units are noisy - and even if you switch of yours, the one of your neighbor will likely still wake you up.

And one more remark: everytime your check gets over $700, your credit card will be charged - a small sign in the lobbby is your notification.

Very friendly front desk staff. Huge 2 bed 2 bath suites. All really clean. Family enjoyed the board games available in the Hearth room and the food available at the evening reception.
Right next door to a mall. Convenient to drive into Raleigh.
Would definitely use again.
Paid $159 through Marriott website (AAA rate) (booked day before arrival) - but people checking in the day after we arrived were paying over $300 - presumably a lot busier??

Incredibly clean everywhere - even the luggage trolleys were sparkling, and the lobby floor is immaculate!
Only downside - WIFI only in lobby/pool area - hard wired internet in rooms.

We traveled to Raleigh for a hockey game in the worst snow of the year. The interstate was an ice/snow packed mess and nothing in the city was open. When we arrived to the hotel the staff was very courteous and let us know they were making special accomodations for snacks and a light dinner that night as there were very limited options for meals due to the weather. Our 2 bedroom suite was very fresh smelling as we opened the door and we were pleased with the recent remodeling. The color scheme was well planned, bathrooms very clean, kitchen well kept and the beds & pillows were quite comfortable. Had the weather only been better...we could have walked across the street to Crabtree Mall for some great shopping & restaurants. Thank you Residence Inn for your hospitality!
