Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Raleigh North - Wake Forest

Typically for work we stay at Hilton Garden Inn on Capital Blvd during quarterly meetings. This time we stayed at the Holiday Inn because it was just 3 minutes away from the Wakefield Plantation Country Club. We arrived in Raleigh early and the hotel let us check in at 11am. That was a very nice way to start our stay. The hotel was very basic however. There is no restaurant in this hotel but they do have a basic continental breakfast. There is no business center but they do have one computer in the lobby. The rooms are fairly large and clean but definitely not fancy by any means. They do have flat screen tvs in the room and pretty decent beds. The staff seemed friendly but not as professional as Hilton or Marriott properties. There are a few restaurants that are between 5-10 mind away. I highly recommend Bruno which is an upscale italian restaurant close by. I would recommend this hotel if you are on a tight budget and are looking for a no frill place to stay.

This seemed to be a very new hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had an adjoining room with another family member and it was great! When I called to set up the adjoining room - the staff was very helpful and made sure that we got what we wanted. I was impressed because I've had other situations at other hotels where they were not so accommodating! YAY for the Holiday Inn Express!! The room was very clean. The free breakfast was surprisingly good. The pool area was also really nice. In Raleigh, NC in August, you certainly need a pool.

The downsides were that there was A LOT of noise from the room above us all day and all night long - sounded like they were jumping around all the time. I didn't call the front desk (I didn't want to be that person, so it's NOT the hotels fault). One of our non-smoking rooms definitely smelled like smoke, so that was a bit of a disappointment, but since we needed connecting rooms, we just put up with it. The elevator was REALLY slow, so we just took the steps. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days for my daughters wedding, and the staff all went out of their way to be friendly and accomodating. It was an extremely busy weekend (there were several family reunions there at the same time we were) but everyone from Wade and Christina at the front desk to the girls in the breakfast area were all very nice. We couldn't have been happier with everyone there. Would definately recommend this hotel and would stay here again. They did run out of some food for breakfast but that was due to the high volume of people there that weekend.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel was very clean, the staff were super nice, and area was quiet. The hotel was easy to find and just a short distance from many restaurants. Breakfast was pleantiful and the lady taking care of it was wonderful.

I would reccomend this hotel to all those looking for a quiet nights sleep in a small town.

Visited for graduation. Hotel was off the main highway so was very quiet. Room and grounds were clean and well kept. Would stay there again if in Raleigh.

There wasn't a lot to choose from as far as hotels in Wake Forest and we were trying to stay close to wedding venues. We chose the Holiday Inn because of the ease of proximity to the highway. The breakfast provided was great with a lot of different choices (and we had picky teenagers with us) and the rooms were comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodated our request to keep all wedding guests together on the same floor. There were some renovations going on at the time of our stay, so when we go back next summer, it'll be even better.
