Good location very near the art and dinning area of downtown. Also convenient to legislature. Updated rooms, free WiFi, manager's reception, and hot breakfast bar in the morning. Also has a pool, workout room... And very welcoming and helpful staff. Great value.

We were very pleasantly surprised and how updated and modern this Hampton Inn was. Spacious lobby where they served an excellent breakfast each morning.

Large, comfortable rooms that were nicely appointed. High speed complimentary WiFi that worked perfectly.

The location is also at the end of the Glenwood dining/arts district so many great choices for dinner. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here the next time we are in Raleigh.

One final comment, no bar in the lobby however there was a wine bar in the corner of the building (about 20 feet from the hotel entrance) and then another cozy looking bar right across the street.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not overlook Johnson Street on a high floor to get some nice views of Ralei...

Dear 1Maggie,

Thank you very much for sharing your experience and for the wonderful review! I am so happy to read that you enjoyed your visit with us. Our hotel is only two years old and very modern. Hampton let us go a little outside of the box for our decor.
Since we are a focus-service hotel, we do not have a bar or restaurant in our hotel. Like you had stated, we are located in the Hospitality District of Downtown Raleigh which places us walking distance to many different restaurants and entertainment venues. The WineFeed, which is the wine bar in front of our hotel that you had mentioned, is a wonderful place if you are looking to buy and bottle of wine or just to sit and have a glass. The owners are wonderful and always take good care of our guests. If you take your room key and show them, they offer a discount on wine bottles to our guests.
Thank you again for the lovely review! We look forward to seeing you again during your next visit to Raleigh!

Hospitably,
Maddy

Bed was not clean. It had a smell. We had to change rooms. Second room was good. Staff was friendly. Location was good. Many places to eat nearby. No bar or lounge in the hotel. Frequent wait for an elevator.

I LOVED THIS Hampton. It was a wonderful experience. We were in town for a wedding and this was such a LOVELY appointed Inn. I would like to congratulate the owners and managers for the friendliness, assistance, and accomodating ways of your staff and house keepers. No request was denied. I needed an early arrival becauase my plane arrived at 8:00 AM ...and there it was, all ready for me...this was greatly appreciated...and in reality, it cost you nothing, but the appreciation of me and my husband. The decorator must be commended as well...BEAUTIFUL...halls and rooms all blending with contemporary colors and Furnishings . Thank you for a great experience. I would definitely return.

Clean, clean, clean. Staff was always very courteous and helpful. The hot breakfast was a welcomed surprise, being that at other Hampton Inns it's usually just a cold, continental breakfast. They also had a Manager's reception on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, although I didn't partake, so can't comment. Note that others have said parking is free, but it is not. Costs $6 per night. Also, not a bad location at all. Plenty of eateries for all budget levels within walking distance.

Dear Andres G,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience and for the wonderful review! I am so happy to read that you enjoyed our hot, buffet breakfast. Unlike most focus service hotels, we do provide our guests with hot breakfast options in addition to the continental items.
We do have a manager's reception every Tuesday and Wednesday where we provide complimentary appetizers, beer, wine, and soft drinks for our guests. It gives us a chance to kind of mingle and really get to know everyone.
Our location is great for anyone looking for wonderful places to eat. We are located in the Hospitality District of Downtown Raleigh which places us walking distance to many, many different local restaurants and entertainment venues.
Thank you again for your wonderful review! We hope to see you again during your next visit to Raleigh!

The hotel as well as its staff was perfect! I have stayed there many times and will continue to stay there any time I am in Raleigh. My only complaint is that the business center should have a higher quality printer with color capabilities.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with others and for the wonderful review! Thank you so much for making us your Raleigh home and we sincerely enjoy having you every time you are with us. Also, thank you for your feedback regarding the business center. I can completely understand why one would need color printing. Luckily, we do have colored printing in the back office, so if you every need the front desk to print colored copies for you, do not hesitate to ask us, we would love to! thank you again for your feedback and wonderful review!
