The lobby had several seating areas with different configurations, and was comfortable and welcoming. There was even a pool table in the lobby, which my husband and son enjoyed.
The staff were extremely friendly and eager to provide information about dining opportunities in the area. (There are various dining options conveniently located within walking distance of the hotel.) The furniture is contemporary in style, which we loved. The room included a small kitchen, with a bench seat and table available for when we were using our computer. The living room was a bit overwhelmed with the sofa bed once it was opened, and the bedroom was cramped, with little room between the foot of the bed and the wall with the mounted TV, and minimal places to unpack clothing. We found the bed to be very comfortable. The bathroom was huge, but with very limited counter space. The housekeeping staff was very efficient, thorough and friendly.
The breakfast offered included made-to-order omelets (small and a little heavy on the oil, but overall tasty), oatmeal, assorted cold cereals and fresh fruits, bagels and various breads, assorted juices, coffee, tea and milk. Something for everyone.
The first morning, we were awakened by a dog's non-stop barking - for over an hour - in the room across the hall. The owners did nothing about the barking, which was extremely annoying. We'll be sure to stay in hotels that don't allow pets in the future, but this is mostly a personal preference. Dogs and hotels are generally not a good combination.
