“rushed orders, they don't like questions and half and full salad is same size”
Reviewed 15 February 2013

Went for lunch with colleagues. I asked what was on something and cashier just rang it up as my order and wouldn't answer questions. Ordered 1/2 size salad and a pizza slice. two colleagues ordered a full size salad. The full sized salad's were the exact same size dish and amount of food as my 1/2 salad. And my colleagues full size salad didn't come with anything, not even a cracker or breadstick.

The pizza and salad were very good; however,

The staff were rather rude when asked where the napkins were, I hadn't been there before and didn't see the dispenser......overall a poor experience and I won't be going back.

“Great fresh food chain, good atmosphere”
Reviewed 5 February 2013

This is a great fresh food chain, good atmosphere. Lots of families eating with little ones. It is very busy, but service is fast. We eat there as a family as well, after we watched the acorn drop (early for little ones) in Downtown Raleigh on New Year's Eve. The kids loved their pizza and I had a great salad that was a good size and had a great dressing drizzled on top. Reminds me a lot of the chain Cosi. Don't miss it if your in-town.

“Downtown location let's you pretend you're in Italy”
Reviewed 8 July 2012

The cheese pizza at Z Pizza in downtown Raleigh is the closest I've found to margarita pizza in Italy. (Note nothing anywhere in the world compares to pizza from it's birthplace - Naples!) At Z Pizza, you can get a pie, a couple of beers (Peroni included), and sit outside in front of the fountains in City Plaza while you eat, pretending you're actually in Italy. (Except don't drink the fountain water!) Haven't found the cashiers to be anything but sub-par (slow, not very friendly, may forget you if they're busy!) - but you're only dealing with them to put in the order. Pretty good value on the food - the two of us shared a small for $10 and it was the perfect size. Can't say the same for the beer - Peroni was over $4 - ouch! The pizza really tastes amazing though and that, combined with the atmosphere if you can sit outside, makes it overall a good experience.

“Fresh, High Quality Ingredients”
Reviewed 20 June 2012

This pizza isn't your typical greasy joint. It's immediately and noticeably different-- the taste is so much better. The ingredients are fresh and the taste is incredible--for me, it tastes like "real" pizza, the type you'd find in Italy. It's certainly not your over-doughy, over-sauced pie. On top of all that, their specialty pies are far beyond your norm, with some amazing creative combinations (I recommend the California Veggie). If you're looking for an experience beyond the norm, this is it. The only downside that I can find is the price-- you're definitely paying extra for these great perks, but it's worth it.
