We ate at the Rep Pepper for the first time on 4/21/14 after it got a very favorable review in the local newspaper. This is a Thai/Chinese restaurant with more of a Thai influence than Chinese. We had the Fried Calamari Appetizer ($6.95) which was more than enough for two people. (If you order this you do not need any other appetizer.) For the Main we had Singapore Rice Noodles with shrimp and pork ($9.95) and my friend has the Tofu Curry Noodle Soup with rice ($10.95). Both were excellent and very well prepared.

They also have a luncheon menu witch gives a lot of food for $6.25.

You will not go wrong at the Red Pepper. It is in the Wilders Grove Shopping Center on New Bern Ave.

Red Pepper just opened and it has become my favorite Chinese/Thai place in East Raleigh. It's the kind of place that, were you to move to a new city or neighborhood, you'd go to the local Chinese place and think, "It just isn't the same as Red Pepper."

The staff gave great service and were quick too, and the Pad Thai was spot on. Even if you don't live in East Raleigh it is worth making the trip over here.

Can't begin to tell you how happy I am the former managers of Fortune Palace are back in business! I ate there there tonight and it was fabulous as always! Please visit them soon and often! We need to support local business! Especially, the fabulous locals like Red Pepper Asian! You'll not find another restaurant in the triangle with this excellent food, and service! Love them!

So glad the former Fortune Palace owners are back with the Red Pepper Asian restaurant, they have been missed! Had the lunch specials and the owner remembered us from the Fortune Palace days and new what my husband wanted to order as soon as we were seated, Home Style Tofu which my husband said was very good. The Sesame Chicken was perfect, not heavily breaded as so many places do. Welcome back and we look forward to many more visits.
