“A pleasant surprise”
Reviewed 14 July 2013 via mobile

We had never been here and decided on a whim to try it out. Food, service (Natalie) , atmosphere, and price were all outstanding. Loved the layout and the antique accents. Will definitely be back!!

“Love the food and live music”
Reviewed 2 March 2013

Napper Tandy's Pub is home to some of the best Irish food around. Fish and chips, cottage pie and corned beef and cabbage are all first rate and hearty choices on a cold night. If you crave local craft beer, you'll be disappointed as there are really only national and a few import beer selections. The pub is cozy with lots of nooks and crannies to sit, as well as a patio, enclosed and heated in winter. There is often live music, including Irish music some nights. And this is a great place for St. Patrick's Day, but you'll want to arrive early if you want a table. Enjoy lunch or dinner, then go stand by the band to sing Irish drinking songs!

“one of the top 3 Irish pubs in Raleigh”
Reviewed 3 January 2013

This is a very good Irish pub located in downtown Raleigh near Glendwood South. The place is charming and cozy. They normally have a lively Irish tune playing when you walk in that kind of sets the mood. despite it's location it doesn't reek of "obnoxious downtown bar"....... you know... the one with three sex in the city wannabes in their early 20's laughing hysterically over martinis and gossip while club-style Larry yells something dumb over the music so he can be heard. there are plenty of those if that's what you're looking for. Here it's more relaxed. The food here is very good. Traditional irish favorites like boxties, full english breakfasts, shepherd's pie, fish and chips, etc. I've had much of it and it's all very good. Most of it is served with soda bread which is my favorite in the area. Wash it down with a pint or two. Their selection of british ales and lagers is respectable.

“Terrible bar service!!”
Reviewed 25 October 2012

Bartender overcharged me for what was on special. Why would a bartender charge you over for whats on special. $4 crown, crown maple and crown black. If your order a royal flush, why would you charge $7 a piece. What bar charges for peach juice. What kind of special is that. The bartender poured me house whiskey and over poured cranberry. I believe a royal flush is crown, peach schnapps and cranberry. Where was my crown. Ehh i guess i didnt get crown, and neither will you.
