“Cake, cake and more cake!”

A lucky find and a busy little place. A group of us dropped in for tea and coffee and it's great to find a place that is taking pride in making fresh cakes and with such a selection. So often in these places they are bought in but this was the real deal! There must have been at least a dozen or so. The carrot cake was perfect, and whilst not too sure about a "blueberry lemon muffin style cake" it was really good (unlike the description) and there was their interpretation of a Jaffa cake that was really amazing. I'd like to think that that's the normal - keep it up guys and keep making that bread pudding! You should think about doing birthday cakes and cakes to order. If you are in the area - it's worth a visit.

“Terrific for lunch”

Not much more to say really. Great food, perfect spot, friendly staff. The proprietor was full of great anecdotes and made us laugh. Enjoyed ourselves and we will be coming back.

“Brilliant food - if you can get a table!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 January 2014

Visiting friends in Pangbourne who have recently moved in, we decided to try Little Henry's for Sunday breakfast. Apparently it is "the" place to go and is always busy.

We arrived around 10.00ish (opening time) and were pleased we did as by 10.45 it was heaving.

Two of us had a "special" - a toasted bagel, scarmbled eggs and smoked salmon and the other three had the full english breakfast, Extras cost more, (80p) and we had mushrooms, blackpudding and fried bread. It came with toast as well!!! Really big portions and great scrambled eggs. The whole bill, plus coffees and tea, was about £ 40.00 - a real bargain compared to London. I can see why it's so busy.

We saw cakes and other goodies coming out of the kitchen including a "tiffin" and rocky road cakes. Not too sure what that "tiffin" is but looked fab. Apparently they are cooked on the premises and did look genuine enough - we'll be back for tea to sample.

Well done Little Henry

I love this place, the food, the staff, the atmosphere and it's so well priced. The baguettes have fixed many hungover weekends! I'll miss you when I leave for the USA! Thank you! X

“Interesting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 December 2013 via mobile

Four of us visited on Monday 30th.
First impressions where of concussion, that was just looking at the menu!
Several menus strapped to the wall above the counter, more menus on counter top written on both sides and more menus on the tables.

Once we had made our choice we had no real idea of how much it would cost! 2 baguettes 2 frittata served with salad garnish 1 small portion of chips 2 cokes and 2 coffees came to £32

I think it would be fare to say, the food was ok but nothing special. Having said all of the above it seemed to be busy.
Will we return......... I'm not sure
