The right choice if you want a beautiful and relaxing location with great hosts and wonderful views.
This bed and breakfast had all we were looking for and with the help of the owner we planned the next few days of wondering through the North Carolina Smoky Mountain area.

My husband and I stayed this past weekend for our anniversary. The cabin is beautiful inside and out. Great porch, a nice pavilion, a perfect place to unwind, reconnect and take a break from technology for a few days. Liz and Will are very gracious hosts with outstanding hospitality. Take advantage of the dinner option as there aren't many places to eat nearby. Liz cooked fresh rainbow trout, potatoes, and asparagus and then finished it all off with an apple turnover and vanilla ice cream. We ended up talking for a couple hours even after dinner was over. Breakfast was superb each morning as well! Don't miss out on this rare gem!

Room Tip: I don't think there's a bad room here.

The Inn is situated down at the end of a long single tract road. The view is outstanding and the log cabin atmosphere is relaxing. We had the room on the main floor which had a wrap around balcony with great views of the valley from 3 sides. The room was clean and well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The hostess, Elizabeth was there to greet us on our arrival, and gave us some history of the building of the inn, which she and her family designed and supervised in the building of it. Because of the remote location, Elizabeth prepared a delicious meal for us that night. Once the sun goes down, you do not want to be going out driving. The breakfast area looked over the front of the building and had a nice view of the garden. Elizabeth cooked us a good breakfast of eggs and home made buiscuits.

Room Tip: Ground floor room is amazing!

Beautiful Inn, gorgeous views, great hospitality. I got a chance to see all 5 rooms as no one had checked in when we arrived. We stayed in the Schoolhouse room - very charming, queen bed, clawfoot tub - very clean & cozy. There was a Barn room that was similar. I don't remember the names of the other 2 rooms upstairs but both had a queen bed & one had a huge shower and the other a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The one room on the first floor had access to the wrap around deck and the best view - king bed & jacuzzi tub - but it's right off the lounge area, so it seems like it might be noisy until folks turn in at night. The breakfast was very tasty - an egg bake with warm muffins & fresh cantaloupe. Elizabeth and Will were both very nice hosts with a good mix of conversation but also allowing you have your space. We were on a motorcycle, paved drive all the way, nice parking area. Several nice outdoor spaces - fire pit area, waterfall - very nice property. The only down side for us was no TV in the room (I know, I know....) and you might note there was limited cell service (Verizon worked, AT&T didn't).

We only stayed one night, but Elizabeth and Will were friendly and helpful hosts. Since there aren't any dining places nearby, we ate dinner (modest extra charge, arrange in advance) and breakfast (included) there, both were excellent.

The building looks rustic but is recent construction and amazingly neat and clean. None of those hundred-year-old dust bunnies under the bed like many rustic B&B's.

The outside has a wrap-around porch and a gazebo-like place to sit on a small rise nearby.

The only things that might be issues for some people were that there is only one television, in the "lobby", and this is a dry county so you must buy your wine or beer on the way to the Inn.

Overall, a great place and we hope to return!

What ambiance! The owners are charming. The views are spectacular. The food is delicious! We could not have asked for a nicer retreat and cabin-mates. It was a perfect fall getaway! One day will brought us a mess of trout fresh from the farm and Elizabeth cooked them up... yum! She cooks the most ingenious and delightful foods. Everything was perfect.

We are so glad to find this B&B! The photos on website looks a bit outdated, but all reviews seems to be real positive about this place, so we decided to give a try. So fortunate we did! This is a new log house custom-built by the inn keeper. All guest rooms have a great view as the house sits on top of the mountain. Since there is very limited dining options around, we opted to have dinner in the house also. Elizabeth is a talented cook! Every dish not only came with great taste, generous portion (which was much appreciated after a full day of hiking in cold weather), but also has a personal touch in the presentation. It is no less than any fine dining restaurant that could easily charge 3 times more.
A thing to know is not to rely on your GPS. Ours took us to a random spot on Route 28 before reaching the intersection with Route 143. The direction posted on their website is more accurate.
