We were on our way back to NJ from FL and anxious to try some NC-style barbecue. Perhaps I should have read the reviews more carefully because we were extremely disappointed. The fried chicken was the best item on the buffet although my husband said the short ribs were good. The pulled pork was dry without much flavor. However, where they really fell short was on the sides. The collard greens had obviously been doctored with sugar because they were old and bitter. The hush puppies were more like rubber puppies; the desserts were unappealing and overly sweet. However, the servers were warm and attentive. Wish the food would have lived up to the staff.
