The owner of the B&B where we were staying for our long weekend visit to the Outer Banks recommended this restaurant. We arrived a little before dinner and found that they were offering 1/2 price appetizers. The seafood soup was very good and the crabcakes were wonderful. We filled up on appetizers and did not order from the dinner menu. We had a table by the window that overlooks the sound and had a wonderful time watching the kite surfers. If/when traveling to Rodanthe, I would eat at this restaurant again.

We visited this restaurant 2 years ago and had some awesome wahoo. We were very eager to return this year, but we were in for a great surprise. We ordered steamed shrimp which the advertised as fresh but they were not. They come straight out of a bag in the freezer. I got the fish tacos which were ok and my wife go the chicken sandwich which she described as "eatable". My daughter got a kids cheeseburger which looked like a soyburger that had been nuked in the microwave. Our overall experience was just bad and this restaurant was nothing like the first visit. We travel to the outer banks area yearly and we definitely will not be returning here.

We visited the night before hurricane Arthur and it wasn't too busy. We were quickly seated with no wait. Lots of specials on the menu. Rockfish bites were quite tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meals. They had many local beers to try and offered samples of many of them if interested.

Nice deck to watch the sound in the evening. Live music was on Wednesday nights.

After dinner service at the bar was slow and they brought the wrong drinks more than once.

We dined here 3x during our stay. First night was ok food with marginal service. Thought we'd give it another shot and it was fantastic. Brandon is an excellent, attentive and professional server that made out experience great. Dishes were delicious and I thought they were appropriately priced. Stopped in for lunch on way out of town and fortunately had Brandon take care of us again. We will be back on our next trip. Also, great views of sunset over the sound...

We were looking forward to dining here on our vocation, however the food was pretty bad and the service was too. The prices on the menu were outrageous for the quality of food. Our entrees came out 10 minutes after ordering. That tells you how fresh the food is. This is a bag and broil restaurant. No real chefs working here.
