The Lodge (associated with the Kasbah du Tubkal) is a wonderful day hike away, in a very remote village, with amazing views, tremendous food, kind staff, and comfortable rooms. This is a bit more rustic than the Kasbah, but that is its intention. We spent two nights here
Besides our tremendous Mountain Guide (Mohammed) and our Mule Man (Lassen) and the Mountain Chef (Lassen), we wish to thank Omar as he helped us through a bit of a health issue while we stayed at the Lodge.
Also, a final thank you to Ibrahim who was an amazing driver who took us back to the Kasbah.

P.S. No WiFi or (strong) signal or land line...

Thank you for your kind words about our lodge and Kasbah du Toubkal trekking team. I really love the Azzedem valley and its remoteness.

Thanks and wishing you well

It’s quite a hike up from the river if you’re coming that way. But extraordinary if hard work. We were welcomed to a cosy oasis. Lovely touches; good food, cosy beds and fantastic bath tubs (seriously just wonderful after a long day of trekking).

We had two bedrooms on the ground floor opposite each other; both were great.

Dinner was generous and tasty; as was breakfast; views, well, go see for yourself!

Would definitely recommend this as a great option.

Thanks for your kind words most of our guests come to the lodge from the Kasbah du Toubkal as opposed to coming up from the river but glad you enjoyed your stay the Azzedem valley is wonderful

Thanks for your visit

This was our favourite place to stay on our three day trek in the Atlas. We walked from Ouirigane through the beautiful Azzaden Valley on our way to Imlil. We climbed from the valley bottom to the lodge at the top of the village and were greeted by our host, Mohamed who gave us leather slippers, dates and milk and washed our hands with orange blossom. Our rooms were warm and cozy with beautiful views over the valley. We had a delicious dinner in the lovely lounge where the log stove kept us warm. The view from the balcony was amazing and after dark the stars came out in their millions. Breakfast was a vey generous spread which set us up nicely for the walk over the mountain into Imlil. This place has left great memories that will stay with us.

Thank you so much for your kind words - so glad you enjoyed our Kasbah du Toubkal trekking lodge. When we built it we hoped it would encourage more people even not the hardened trekkers to visit this outlying valley and our trekking lodge allows you to stay in a spectacular valley without forgoing life creature comfort and as everyone attest Mohamed is a great cook and host.

Thanks again

We were a bit anxious to do the hike from Kasbah de Toubkal to the lodge. 1635 meters up and down during a two day hike is a lot more than we've done before.

We're happy we took the challenge, as the hike was very good, the service was impeccable and the lodge was as good as the Kasbah in our opinion.

The lodge rooms are similar to the Kasbah rooms, but with the added bonus of heated bathroom floors. Very, very comfortable.

The dinner was better in our opinion compared to the Kasbah proper, as odd as it might seem. Do remember to bring your own wine as both the Kasbah and the lodge are strictly BYOB. And since you're not paying restaurant mark-up you might as well bring the best bottle you can afford. Nothing better after a good hike than a bottle of good amarone.

Thanks for your review and kind words and so glad you took the challenge which I hope with our support is manageable taken slowly by most reasonable fit people who do some walking. I am glad you remembered and highlight our BYO as we try to highlight in our literature but some people miss it. Thanks again and maybe you will be encouraged to come back and summit Jbel Toubkal one day we would love to see you.

Wishing you well

This was really excellent, and the "patron" there (Mohamed) was brilliant. Great rooms, great location, great food (even better than the Kasbah in our opinion). It's an energetic trek from the Kasbah, but the views en route are stunning. The lodge is perfect for detoxing in so many ways. Don't miss out on it!
