“A wonderful place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 September 2013

We stayed on the ground level and since we were here with another couple, we were given two rooms with a connecting foyer. Nina, the owner's daughters who runs the place, and works hard from morning till night (and just happens to be a veterinarian with a practice) went out of her way to be helpful with recommendations, making phone calls for us, etc. We requested eggs at breakfast and were served scrambled eggs with fresh cheese and onions. (We could also have opted for potato or eggplant). Towels are supposed to be changed every three days, but we received extras when we asked. Dinner was pasta, a choice of meat and dessert and was excellent. Altogether, a wonderful find with wonderful owners.

We stayed in the tower, nice and clean, with great views of the surroundings. There are also rooms on ground-level, but I cannot commend on those, because I haven't looked inside. We had diner in the restaurant and it was very good! The breakfast was nice and sweet.
This is Agriculture, so the family is also working the land (olives & vegetables). The dogs are walking around, or actually most of the time laying around in the son, they are very nice.

My wife and I stayed at Sanacore for 2 nights and it was our first Agritourismo experience. We were there to experience the local cuisine and it didn't disappoint. In fact the food was just fantastic, serving us up way too much but we enjoyed every bit of it.
Their home made extra vergin olive oil was beautiful not to mention their wine and prosciutto! Above all Franceso and his son Enzo made us feel so welcomed and took the time to talk to us about our journey around Sicily etc. Without doubt, there is a genuine interest in their guests here.

The rooms are basic but you're there for the food. Location was reasonably central to other towns nearby including the enchanting hilltop town of Erice which is a must see.
In summary, a great experience with great food.

We stayed 2 nights here during mid April. The best part is the absolute rural mess of the place - part of the fun is trying to find it. Especially at night! We arrived around 1 .30 starving and was immediately offered a fantastically large lunch. The room was large and basic but rather reminscent of N old fashioned farmhouse: breakfast was good and the dinner food was
lovely but a lot! The wine is inclusive .... The owner was fun and sits and chats with guests; while his son explains all the food (no menu- but we did half board for an incredibly cheap rate ). Recommended if you want a bit of rural living and simplicity. And our son loved the dogs!

I haven't stayed here as a resident, but I went twice for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is open only by reservation.

The venue is beautifully set in the middle of nowhere, peacefully surrounded by vines and olives trees, in fact from the area, the owner of the agriturismo produces a high quality olive oil, the name of it if I remember well is 'ogghiu'.

Food is cooked by passion, there is no menu, however Toto will cater for your needs. We left in his hands and we were surely not disappointed. From antipasti, to starters and mains, everything was cooked to perfection. A selection of antipasti with typical products of the region was brought on our table. Lamb was very good, just off the bone as soon as you touch it, veal was also very tasty. But the best remains the yolanda with a special sauce of pistacchi, meat reduction and vegetables, this was something special.

Definately a must visit.

This was an excellent introduction to agriturismos. The owner is incredibly welcoming, the accommodation is simple but comfortable - including large rooms with aircon - and the food was fantastic - really good home cooking, large portions, incredibly tasty. What's more, we were charged a pittance for dinner, bed and breakfast. I would highly recommend this place.

We stayed in Sanacore for two nights and we were very sad to leave. The rooms are well equipped and include air conditioning which is essential if you are staying in Sicily in August. We had a rental car and there was plenty of space for parking. In addition, the owner Francesco provides mountain bikes which you can borrow for free to cycle around the vineyards and have a look around. The surrounding area is really rustic and beautiful so I would highly recommend the bike ride.

We decided to have dinner at Sanacore on the first night and the food was so fantastic that we extended our half board to our second night as well (where we were served equally fantastic food). The fact that we all enjoyed the food is really saying something because we were four people with extremely diverse tastes. The amount of food they serve you for the half board price also makes the half board an excellent value for money!

Finally, I need to mention the hosts. Francesco epitomises the idea of warm Italian hospitality. We couldn't have asked for a better host. He and his team are friendly, always smiling and willing to help. We would definitely want to go back and visit them again!
