The hotel is nice, very clean rooms with fresh design. Bathroom was also very clean with soaps and all other things you need. The hotel has basically nothing else than rooms. No restaurant, no pool,... Staff speaks very bad english (some dont speak english at all). There's not too much places to eat near the hotel. Expect to go 20-30min by foot to find a good place to eat. The hotel advises a crappy Pizzeria 2min walking but these were the worst pizza's I ate so far. The breakfast is very small(not only choice but the place were you eat it also!), so not always a seat available but everything tastes nice and staff tries to be helpful (in Italian, no english). Internet works great also !

Room Tip: Try not to face the front street.

Great stay thanks in particular to the manager and his crew - very friendly and helpful, including recommending and booking restaurants. Hotel is modern and so clean and bright. A few little niggles to start but quickly sorted out. As we were doing a fly drive the location on the edge of the old town with its own car park was good; we could easily get in and out of town each day to explore, but then walk to restaurants in the evening. Nice beach lidos 3 km away for late afternoon swimming. Highly recommended as a passing through hotel.

Of the 7 hotels we stayed at in Sicily - always for 2 or 3 nights - the Tiziano was by far the best. From the Front Desk to superbly functioning bathroom, large bed and wonderful breakfast as well as best Internet service (hard wired cable) there was not one fault to be found. I had specifically asked for the top floor corner unit because i suspected it would provide good views over the port out to the ocean - and i was correct. The hotel was easily found (arriving from Agrigento) and we parked the car in the hotel parking lot (open but secure) and for the stay in Trapani we just walked. Everything was easily accessible and we felt perfectly safe walking late at night (as a matter of fact, the Port Road is very well lit with lots of traffic). On arrival we were told that (buffet) breakfast was served until 11 am - finally a place where we could sleep in !! We came down about 10:15 and by 10:30 the staff brought out more (fresh) food - lots of variety, eggs and bacon and ham as well as cold cuts and cheeses, also fresh fruit. For us, coming from Canada, this was the only hotel which resembled what we are used to in North America - well functioning, efficient and clean - and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Initially we considered the Victoria (on the "other" side of the Peninsula) but they did not have parking - in retrospect i am glad about it because this "forced" us to book the Tiziano, which proofed to be a real treat.
Some people want a place with "character" - we want comfort.

Room Tip: Top floor south-east corner unit.

We choosed this one because we needed a hotel which would be open when arriving in the middle of the night, and this was our choice because of the location (very near to the bus station). We paid 180€ for double bed for 2 nights with breakfeast.

First we entered the room where both water basin and bidé was stuck, so first thing in the morning was to complain about this. Immediately the hotel staff offered us a another room, which was the room next to us, it was free and we moved our stuff there after breakfast. Both rooms were OK and clean. Hotel was located next to some office building, so there was some noise from the streets, but not too much.

Breakfast was served in a small hall, where they had a barista to make your cappucinos and other drinks (coffee and tea) for free of charge. Breakfast was mostly white flours; lots of different kind of buns, sweet croissants and toasts, muesli, corn flakes, but also yoghurt, some fresh fruits and eggs.

Staff was nice but only one of them spoke english, and once when we tried to ask something she seemed very bored to help us, even though she did give the info we needed. We don't speak italian, only few phrases. They offered maps and info we needed, hotels were good but comparing to finnish hotels we would have not given the 4 stars for this, maybe 3 or three and a half. Nothing big to complain, a bit pricy place but everything was OK. Easy to reach and it's a good place to go and see Trapani.

My friend and I stayed at the Tiziano for three nights in June 2012. We chose it mainly because it offered free and secure on-site parking, as we had decided to rent a car at Palermo Airport. We also thought it offered pretty good value for money (we paid 242 Euros for a twin-bedded room for three nights, inclusive of breakfast and taxes). The buffet breakfast was good - better than average, I'd say, even though there was no fresh fruit juice and the 'cafe americano' was vile. Opt for a macchiato instead. As for our room, it was absolutely fine if somewhat lacking in character. We had no complaints, however, about it or about the bathroom, both of which were clean and well-appointed. The view (of an unattractive building on the opposite side of the road with some graffiti sprayed on it), however, was rather dispiriting. The public areas of the hotel are smart and elegant, though rather minimalist in terms of decor. The hotel staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful and at least one of the receptionists spoke good English. Although there was a computer in the main lounge, which could be used free of charge, I would have preferred to have had free wi-fi access to the Internet in the room.

The area in which the hotel is located is far from being the prettiest or most characterful in town. It's fairly deserted at night, although we didn't feel that we were in any danger walking back to it. It is close to the main exit from Trapani for points south of the town, such as Marsala, which we found very convenient as we were heading in that direction. It takes less than ten minutes to walk to the main railway and 'bus stations. Nearly all of Trapani's sights are located in the old town centre, which is a good twenty minutes' walk along the seafront from the Tiziano. We also ate there every evening, as there didn't appear to be many decent restaurants close to the hotel. Many parts of the town were flattened by aerial bombardment during WWII, although a remarkable number of old palaces and churches have survived. Attempts are currently being made to smarten up the appearance of the place. To be honest, there are no 'must see' sights in town; however, half day trips to nearby Erice (ideally by cable car) and to the ancient temple and theatre at Segesta (which can be reached by train) are definitely worthwhile, as is a full day mini-cruise to the Egadi Islands, which are clearly visible from the town. We were really glad to have done all three of these.

Trapani has a well-deserved reputation for its cuisine; we enjoyed every meal we had there. Restaurants I'd recommend are: La Cantina Siciliana, Tavernetta ai Lumi, Al Vicoletto and La Bettolaccia.

All in all, I would stay at the Tiziano again if I went to Trapani by car, as few if any of the hotels closer to the historic centre seem to offer parking facilities. The streets there are so congested that I imagine it would be very difficult finding a free space. If I went back without a car, however, I would probably opt for a hotel closer to where all the action is.

This hotel was very easy to find and is on the outskirts of the old town. The buildings exterior is one one of those dreadful modern block houses though - no character. The decor inside was again modern but comfortable. Breakfast was what we had come to expect from hotels in this bracket and was plentiful. The lock up car parking is a definate plus, however, the lack of in room internet facilities lets it down. There is a free internet machine in the lobby. The staff were friendly and efficient and assisted us with local sightseeing.

We went to this hotel by accident because the usual one we go to was overbooked and, I must say, it was a very lucky accident. The hotel gives you the impression that it has just been built; every thing about it is new and spotless. Our room was very nice and comfortable and its location is excellent. However, what really impressed me and my wife was the friendliness of the staff. Most people we met in Trapani were friendly but none like the staff of this hotel - especially the Director - who really went out of their way to meet our every wish. Somebody mentioned the breakfast negatively and I would like to clear this point. This is a typical healthy Italian breakfast and does not prepare you for the day by filling you with fats!
