“Very Good Hotel centrally located”
Reviewed 16 September 2012

We came here for a short four days holiday. The hotel is close to the town center, and our room had a sea view. There is a large free parking area in front of the hotel. During the day this is normally full, but at around 5-6pm it starts emptying and so we never had problems to park.
The room was quite large and cleaned twice daily. The furniture and bathroom were kept in very good condition. Breakfast is continental buffet, and there was a wide choice of items, including five types of pastries. The Tiramisu' was especially good. The receptionists were also helpful and friendly, and helped us in any difficulties we had.
In all, very recommendable.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a high floor with sea view.

We arrived at this hotel at about midnight and we were very lucky to find parking just in front of the hotel where there is a huge car park free of charge. The receptionist was very friendly and immediately settled us in our room which was spacious and had a sea view.. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and were done twice a day. Wifi was free and worked excellently from the room. Breakfast was superb and there was a great deal from where to choose with pastries freshly baked everyday. The staff at the reception desk was ever so helpful in giving us tips and advice especially when we booked an excursion to La Favignana.

The hotel is conveniently located just a few metres away from the town centre. From here you can also access the beach. We definitely recommend this hotel.

The Vittoria is a very decent hotel centrally located in Trapani. Ideal if you come by train (the train station is only a short walk away) or by bus from Palermo (one of the bus stops is just around the corner from the hotel - let the bus driver know you want to get off at the Vittoria).

Only stayed here for two nights, but had a very pleasant experience.

The rooms are spacious (double - single occupancy) and nicely decorated. Room and shower area were spotlessly clean (rooms cleaned everyday). Also there is free wifi which works well in the room. You have all the necessary mod-cons in the rooms.

The hotel is fairly modern and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is a typical business style hotel so lacks a bit on charm and character. The old city is a few minutes walk away if you want to explore Trapani in more detail. There is also a small beech about 50metres from the hotel.

For a short stay this hotel is ideal, especially if you are coming from the dirt and grime of Palermo. Also Trapani's main street is just around the corner from the hotel where you can find restaurants
and bars.

Breakfast is a simple continental affair, but they have a good selection to choose from. In terms of value, the hotel was good, but see if you can get special offers to bring the price tag down a tad.

The port is also a 25 minute walk from the hotel (5 minutes by taxi) if you are planning to catch the ferry or boats to the Islands. was taking the ferry to Tunis, so the location of this hotel was ideal, safe, convenient and quiet.

If you are planning on taking that ferry to Tunis, stock up on some food supplies before you get on the Ferry. There is a Spar Express very close to the hotel.

Room Tip: Check to see if you can get any special deals (early booking rates, etc) to bring the price tag down...

Spent one night here. Hotel is right in the middle of Trapani with a huge free car park directly in front. It is a decent 3 star hotel, a bit dated but value for money. Its location is ideal if you want to sample Trapani. Breakfast was really was quite poor and the breakfast room was too open and lacked any atmosphere.

We can find no fault with the hotel here! As a family of 3, we slept in a Triple, located on the first floor overlooking the car park/sea.

Our first day, we took a local bus to the cable cars up to Erice. Many thanks to the elderly Italian ladies who we met at the bus stop for telling us where to get our bus ticket, what bus number/route to take, and which stop to get off the bus. Erice is a lovely and cool mountain top getaway, especially if you need to escape the heat in August.

For nightly dinners downtown, we walked past the park or on the sidewalk along the beach -- lovely, especially while the sun sets. Most of our sight-seeing was done via rental car: to the temples of Selinunte and beaching at San Vito Lo Capo. The shore lines are varied, ranging from pebbles/rock to sand. If your kids want sand (like ours did), we did a day trip to San Vito. Otherwise, she was just as happy with water shoes to protect her feet on the beaches of Trapani.

There was nothing about the hotel or our room that we didn't like. We enjoyed the breakfasts (as well as my picky daughter), found the hotel staff very friendly, and marveled at the efficiency and thoroughness of housekeeping. For a family of 3, the room was the perfect size for us. Despite the bidet in the bathroom, there was still room for me to assist my daughter in there for her needs (shower, hair drying, etc).

Our only regret … being to tired to drink the complimentary bottle of Prosecco.

Great hotel, great location. Was initially disappointed that I wouldn't stay in the old town, but the town is so accessible by foot, that it only took 5-10 minutes to get to the old town. I asked for a room with seaview and got one. Great view, especially the sunset! Nice staff, good breakfast and great cappucinos! Having read some reviews about noise between the rooms, I brought earplugs, and am very pleased I did as I could hear som noise from rooms next door. The location is great. There is a small beach 50 metres away, very local and no hassle at all. One day I walked to the best beach in town, Lido San Giuliano Beach. The walk took about 30 minutes and wasn't pretty, but very interesting, going past the parts of town where the locals live. The beach is very nice, hardly saw any foreign tourists but lots of local young people spending the day on the beach, no hassle. Took the 23 bus back to the hotel. The bus to the Erice cable car leaves from the square by the hotel, either bus 21 og 23. I took the 23 bus, keep an eye on the map to make sure you get off at the right stop as it is not obvious! Trapani is a great place to spend a few days if you want to combine beach and culture and want to avoid mass tourism resorts. Friendly and helpful people, no hassle as a single female traveller.

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview!

We stayed here only one night thank God, I have never seen such frustrated and unfriendly hotel staff in my life. I was really annoyed to have paid money for this service! Also Trapani doesn't have much to offer, so if you go to Sicily try Marsala, avoid Trapani.
