NOT RECOMAND
That is not a 4 star hotel, when you do the checkin they give you cards instead of bracelet and if you want to drink something you need to give them the cards, all the time you are scaned.
The food is every day the saime, nobody speak English there if you ask for some information not a chance to have an answer.
If you want to have a fot drink during the lunch, is not possible because they do not serve, if you want to have a two glasses of beer on your table at dinner time is not possible, one single bar for @300 persons absolutly ridiculous.
So if you want to have a nice holiday DO NOT GO THERE

Room Tip: Do not choose any room there

Dear customer.

With all my respect to your comment I think is exaggerated and inappropriate to refer to our hotel like that.
Feel you have not been satisfied with our service so sorry because this is what we try every day to satisfy our customers the maximum possible.
Willstudy card system for all inclusive so can give a easy service to our customers,
The food you know it's not the same every day we have a varied buffet where customers can choose many different dishes.
How can you say that no one speaks English here ?? I do not understand this statement.
Thanks for your time and see you soon.

we booked this as a quick week away and after reading some of the reviews were very nervous but it was clean the staff were friendly the food was good with a lot of choice at every meal,i admit it was a bit noisy but if you let reception know they will speak to the offenders ,we loved the roof top terrace with its jaccuzzi's and cool off pool and there were enough sunbeds for everyone ,it was close to the beach ,if you dont want to hear a lot of noise we were told to get a high room facing the pool

Room Tip: choose a high floor overlooking the pool if you dont want a lot of noise

Dear customer.

I am very grateful you have found time to post your experience here with us and also dedicated to the praise that our staff and establishment in general.

Sometimes is difficult subject of noise especially when clients return to the hotel early morning and only get to their rooms and this causes shortness of our security staff strives to control these people and try to cause the minimum inconvenience to others.
Is true in the Jacuzzi area you well know is getting great thank you for the recommendation.
Hope see you here again.

Thank you very much.

I've just come back from 4 nights at Lloret De Mar staying at H Top Royal Beach with four mates. We are group of guys aged 30. The hotel is in a great location for us, far enough away from the centre to be not too loud but within walking distance (20 mins) or 5 min taxi ride (7 euro) from where the major nightlife is. The beach is only 5 mins walk away and it is surrounded by nice bars, restaurants and little supermarkets. There is an awesome club opposite too called Robin Hood. It does Salsa Dancing, karaoke and is then a club until 5am. Has a real mix of music and people, reasonable prices and the nicest toilets I've ever been in! However, if you are with a family don't get a room facing the front of the hotel. The staff worked incredibly hard and work all day. Nearly all of them were friendly and chatty and remembered each guest and spoke. They all spoke a variety of languages and were welcoming (except one guy on reception who was pretty snooty). The rooms were basic but clean, I complained of a light bulb being broken in my room and it was fixed the next morning (I reported it at 9pm so was done quick). There were maids on every floor and they were changing rooms over every day. As I was on my own I only had sheets done once as I was happy with that and had put do not disturb sign on. My mates had their room done twice in four nights. Cleaner even folded my clothes! Hotel was noisy and I struggled to sleep. The corridors are very long and noise travels, they could do with doors along corridors to dampen the noise. Walls are paper thin and you can hear people talking, coughing, snoring, showering, moving, opening doors constantly. But bung some ear plugs in or get drunk and it's easier to deal with! I was in room 316 which was awesome. Lovely view down on to pool and bar. I enjoyed this hotel and can't really complain, what I paid it was totally suffice and nicer than many hotels in the area. As for food then it was standard all inclusive. Breakfast was poor (go to local pub for fry up for 5 euro). Lunch and dinner were ok, nothing exciting and a bit bland but good choice of things including vegetarian dishes. We got bored and went to Roxy across the road which was very cheap and yummy food. Great variety of drinks on the all inclusive available until midnight. Annoying but clever scheme with the cards they have to get drinks, it makes you keep your cup and take it back to be able to get another! Good idea really. I'd recommend the hotel to people in general. Cheap and cheerful and I'd go back again

The two things that let this hotel down were the rude night staff, and the rooming situation.

The initial check in was not the polite service I would expect from a 4* hotel, but probably not so rude it would warrant a complaint.

We had booked two rooms for four adults in each. The rooms were a nasty surprise. The room was, and there's no getting around it, a room for two adults. Very basic, clean enough; we didn't go there for a luxury experience. One of the rooms had hair all over the bathroom floor.

In order to pass these rooms off as "four bed", the two actual beds had been shoved together, and two tiny, child sized beds, put on either end. In one room, they hadn't even done this so there were just two single beds in a room that was supposed to be for four people. It seems unfair that half of our party had to sleep on collapsable beds that were too small for them, when all paid the same price. Having four adults in a room just big enough for two made the room very cramped as well.

We went down to complain; we were told "that's how it is in the area". Ok fine, but why isn't this made explicit on the website? Why offer rooms of four when you obviously can't provide them properly? Making money should not trump all guests having an actual bed to sleep in.

We needed two extra (child's) beds, and the security guard was to be sent up to get them for us. Bearing in mind that this was now approaching 4am. He waved us away as if we were annoying children, to be dealt with later. We assumed he'd be up soon. About 20 minutes later we went down again, only to be shouted at and sent away. Another 15 plus minutes later, he finally came up to sort it out. This kind of behaviour is not acceptable when guests have arrived, tired, at 3:30am. As far as I was aware, he was not busy but sat down reading something. At that time in the morning, getting a guest a bed to sleep on should have been the priority. (They were not busy. There was only one other family checking in, and two staff members.) It's also worth noting that the child's bed we were given, had blood stains on the mattress. Unpleasant.

The hotel redeemed itself with the all inclusive and the pool. The pool was a good size with plenty of sun beds around it. The all inclusive offered a great range of food and drinks; no problems there. You can eat healthy meals every day, or have plate after plate of carbs... Something for everyone.

The hotel did have a kids entertainment program, but I would not stay here on a family holiday. Before you book this hotel, know that it's popular with 18-25 year olds for clubbing holidays, as Lloret itself has a busy club strip. It's not too rowdy during the day, but at night will more than likely get noisy due to people arriving home from clubs at 3/4/5 in the morning.

To summarise: hotel facilities were more than adequate; I was particularly happy with the all inclusive and the pool. Do not get a room of four because you will be given a room of two and expected to sleep on child sized beds. Just book for rooms of two. By my standards at least, this is not a 4* hotel.

We took our daughter and partner for a week at the Royal Beach, it is the only All Inclusive hotel that does not include SLEEP, the noise is horrendous children running up and down the corridors at 12.30am doors slamming at all hours of the day or night, teenagers coming in at 4am from the club very drunk shouting and screaming at 4.30am we were woken up every night, when we complained the staff at reception said they would speak to the night porter. The food is not very exciting, although there was plenty of fresh fruit, we found our fellow guests to be the most ignorant we have ever come across .
The sheets were not changed all week even though we had the air con on they still felt 'sticky' from the sweat. We had clean towels just twice all week the housekeeper would pop in and put some stuff down the toilet and that was it!
If you find that the food has become a little boring the Roxy's over the road do fantastic food and very reasonable prices, and the coffee is delicious.
The pool closes at 7pm which we found very strange but this is due to no lifeguard, however the lifeguard spends most of his time cleaning the tables in the pool area and not watching the pool.
The rooftop hot tubs shut at 6pm again strange.
There are good points and bad points however the bad out weigh the good.
This hotel is ideal for families with young children, they have a good entertainment team for them.
It is also good for the young out to enjoy themselves by clubbing, the beach is a short walk from the hotel, and very clean. The street outside the hotel is very busy until the erly hours of the morning, we suggest if you do stay request a room on the 5-6 floor overlookng the pool at the back of the hotel that might be quieter!! It is pleasant walk in Lloret de Mar maybe about 20mins.
We usually stay at the HTop royal star but fancied a change. After this experience we will never stay with HTop again

Room Tip: Floor 5-6 poolside should be quieter

The hotel we initially booked was a HTop hotel and upon arrival we decided we weren't staying... see other review of Casino Royal - its not for those who are not 18-22. HTop were lovely and transferred us to the Royal Beach which was a million times better. The food was brilliant with plenty of choice - there was always a fresh meat or fish choice cooked in front of you each lunch and evening meal. The pool area and hotel were very clean with plenty of space for those not choosing the beach which is 2 mins walk away. The only down size was the queues for drinks at the bar and in the restaurant. The entertainment wasn't up to much but maybe I had been spoilt elsewhere - My friends thought it was ok. There was some noise outside and with less than considerate people going in an out of rooms but the earplugs I take everywhere with me blocked it all out. I would recommend this hotel to friends - just take ear plugs and you will have no problems.
