I'll just start by saying the Royal Beach is not a 4 star hotel. Its a very good 3 star but not quite a 4. The food was very good, freshly made for ever meal. We stayed their all inclusive. You get a little bored with the food around day 3-4. But their are some nice local restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The local bus service is good picks up ever 15mins (L2) out side the front door.
The drinks where ok, normal stuff, cocktails cost 2 euro per drink the local stuff was free. The nieghbourhood can be a little noisy at night around kicking out time at the local pub. The beach just down the road from the hotel was breath taking we spent most of are afternoons walking up and down the beach. Over all we both enjoyed are stay and would recommend it to anyone.

This place is never 4 star. 3 would be pushing it. It's full of Brits coming down for breakfast and then sitting in the same place from 10.00 until the bar shuts only moving to go to the loo, something to eat or back to the bar gor a refill. We've never seen so many ambulances coming and going with people returning in bandages and casts. 5 people left with suspected salmonela poisoning me included. The food was semi warm everytime and seemed to go down hill during the week. I'm now off sick.
The place was noisey at night, slaming doors people arguing and fight ing. Then the club, Robin Hood, over the road emptied at 4.00 am it all started again. Noisy, unruly, ignorant and no possible thoughts for other holidaymakers. Shamefull Brits

we stayed here for xmas,it was ok actually but we ended up having our xmas dinner elsewhere.
plus there was a fight on xmas eve in the main reception area.
would stay here again, but only in the summer.

when it came to the time of coming home,we ended up being delayed in girona airport for 2 days.

and to top it all my bag was stolen in the airport.
i was told by the girl on the information desk that there must of been a gang going round doing this because there had been several reports of this happening.

anyway enogh said i think.

This hotel is ideal for everyone, family, young and old. We went to the hotel on an all inclusive basis. When you check in, the hotel takes your picture and put it on a card which they swipe when you get your drinks; you will need it for the restaurant too. Some problem with the restriction of two drinks per person but this didn't seem to bother us; I suppose it might affect larger families.
Transfers were about 90 euros for a return taxi.
There was a bus regularly through the day which takes you into the centre. The food was excellent with a large buffet style and had snacks out of meal times.
For anyone not staying in the hotel the next day, there was an option to request a packed lunch which wasn't too bad.
The hotel is right next to the beech for people who love to spend most of their time there. Been a while since I have been to Royal Beach but overall it sticks in my memory as being a fantastic holiday and we plan to go back there in the future, not a lot of hotels I can say that about

Last summer we orginally booked to stay at the Hotel Alexis but after reading awful reviews and looking at pictures we decided to change to the Royal Beach Hotel. We arrived in the early hours of the morning as our flight was delayed, we checked in only to find there was no room available for us!
The holiday got worse as the food was the same everyday and there was no evening entertainment.I am 15 years old and me and my younger sister were bored through most of our holiday. We also visited many of the chain of H Top Hotels and many of them did not deserve their four stars!
Our orginal hotel Alexis was awful; the pool was more like a puddle and the hotel in general was tiny!
Next year we shall definately not be booking with H Top Hotels although the case seems to be that you get what you pay for!

I know we went right out of season (30th nov-3rdDec), but it was dead, well apart from all the, lets say, people who always go budget, if u get what i mean. food wasn't too good. Same thing day in, day out. Staff were friendly, room was clean and we have a view over the pool. With it being so out of season was not to noisy. I wouldn't recomend his holiday to anyone. the only thing i suggest is u hire a car, that way you get to see more of what spain has to offer.

My Wife and I booked to stay at the Grand Casino Royal, but due to hotel closure we were transfered to the Royal Beach. We chose the Casino because of the location in the centre of lloret, The royal beach is in Fenals a 20 minute walk from the town centre, this already was a problem that we didn`t want.
On arriving at the hotel late at night after flying from Blackpool, we were very dubious after reading reviews about this hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful and although we were only staying on half board basis we were told that we could get food if we wished from the all inclusive buffet which was still open. Our room on the fifth floor was O.K. and reached via the extenal lift which was a pleasant surprise, the carpets down the hall ways were a disgrace and should have been replaced several years earlier. the first week that we were there the hotel was only about a third full, and mainly french guests, the food was acceptable if a little lacking in choice, I managed to get away with only having chips on day by taking roast and boiled potatos that were used as dressing for the meat and fish dishes and salads of course, and overall we were quite happy with our stay up to this point, BUT it was not any better than the Royal Casino which is only a three star hotel, in fact I think the food at the Casino had better and more varied selection.
Then came the second week. people were being transferred like we were from other hotels in the group, some even had booked in other towns. OK it was the low season third week in november an all that, but this is when we found that all the reviews we had read were just about right! drunks thumping and banging about all night, banging on doors shouting, swearing, vomiting all hours of the night, unfortunately most were brits, enough to make us ashamed of being british, in fact it got so bad that we asked to move rooms to a quieter area of the hotel, this the reception staff did with no problems to us, we were moved to a room on the first floor right above the bar. not as bad as it sounds as once we closed the door to the balcony it cut most of the noise out, and the bar closes at midnight anyway, but there are other problems of people on fllors above thowing fagends over their balconies which landed on ours and othe first
floor rooms, could be very dodgy when warmer and shorter nights, I can see some poor sole lying on a lounger getting burned. we were not in the hotel that much as we spend severals days in Barcelona, Girona and other excursions (don`t miss Montserat ).
If you are looking to get pie-eyed every night and avoiding hangovers by staying drunk then this is the place for you, but if you are looking for a reasonably quiet relaxing break, then stay home rather than come here.
all in all we will never visit this place again, I would rather spend a week in Blackpool during the Iluminations than stay here again.
