Alegria Plaza Paris
Ranked #14 of 124 Hotels in Lloret de Mar
Reviewed 14 August 2014

We stayed for one week from the 4th aug.The hotel was spotless, and in a prime location for shops,night-life and the beach.
my family shared two double rooms overlooking the pool witch were both lovely, and air-con was great.I do agree with another traveller that you should not have to pay for use of safe and fridge.
our 1st night was peacefull and relaxing, but it all changed the next day with the arrival of aprox 40+ german teenagers ispent the whole of the next night awake, untill 5.30am where i went to reception to complain.the night porter said he had been to various rooms during the night removing music players.
The corridors were full of kids banging on each others doors running up and down untill 6am every morning.
on a plus side there wasent any fighting over sunbeds as most of the guests didnt appear untill 1or 2 o clock in the afternoon!!!(they were all tierd out from being up all night)
on the last two nights we were upgraded to a quieter floor, and given the privelidge of becoming all inclusive guests,in fairness the staff could not have done more to help us enjoy our stay.
staff were lovely,EVERYONE at the reception, and bar were FAB,it was just unfortunate that other guests did not have any respect for other travellers, would def go back, but probably not in the height of the season. No English people in the resort, food excellent, but sometimes cold.

Room Tip: pool view, higher floors are more for families.

Ok hotel, pool area outside nice. Our room had a bad smell from the bathroom, which went away fir a day and then returned. Noisy outside at night with traffic and youths coming out after the discos finish at silly o'clock. Down side is the charge for use of safe and another charge to use the locked fridge. Wide range of buffet style food. Don't think we will be back.

Room Tip: Ask for room facing pool as some rooms face street which can be noisy.

I must say me and partners stay at this hotel was made by the truly excellent service. All the staff were very friendly, the food was very good and I enjoyed the variety offered for buffet style the chefs did an excellent job. The bar staff were different class in quality of drinks and such good fun also! Carlos variety of gin and tonics on offer were outstanding especially enjoyed gin and tonic with the addition of strawberries! Alicia and salva were also very good behind the bar and Lovely people. The only downside was the rooms were too basic, beds not very comfortable and the air conditioning was awful. My fan in my home provides better cooling. I hope the management consider this! All in all though very good indeed :)

This hotel was amazing on most levels, staff were very friendly, food was fantastic, pool jacuzzi and mini pool were amazing, spa was good. Rooms we're clean but need updating and air con was quite bad! Bar staff were the best, had a laugh with them Carlos Alicia and salva :) made my time there so worth while. I would go back in a heart beat, if it wasn't for the air con in the room I would have given a 5 star.

Stayed for 1 week in june hotel is of a high standerd rooms are very good and comfy....
if you are expecting British style food forget it.
It is mainly catering for spanish people so I wasn't impressed with the food but it dosent mean it wasn't to everyones taste.
overall I would stay again without hesitation.

Stayed for 3 nights. The rooms were large but the noise in the hallway was a problem each night. The doors were fitted with the type of hinge / door closing device which caused them to slam when shutting. I can't understand hotels that ignore this problem.
The air conditioning never worked properly.
On a positive note the restaurant was great value. The buffet was free in the evenings. You only paid for your drinks. A litre of wine cost €4.60. The buffet had a good selection. Likewise the breakfast was decent.

f you are arriving via transfer bus, you will be dropped off at a location whereby you'll have to take a 5 min walk down the street (as the street is too narrow for coaches). This isn't a problem as the hotel is easy to find (on the right hand corner). We were given room 306, which was opposite the lift door. We were initially disappointed as we thought we would be kept awake all night with noisy residents coming back in the early hours. This wasn't the case at all, and we slept well every night. Our balcony faced the street, which could be noisy, but once the patio doors were closed, the noise was minimal. The room was standard (not as classy as some seen online), had a fridge (which was chargeable, but as we were AI, we didn't need it), and a security box (again chargeable). The shower was ok, and the bathroom was spacious enough with toiletries provided on the first day. Breakfast was served at 7:30-10:30, and there was something for all tastes (cooked breakfast - scrambled/fried/boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, potatoes etc, Fresh fruit, fruit salad, yoghurts, dried fruit, cereals, and also cheese, ham, salami, olives, tomatoes etc and toast, jams, honey. We usually stuck with the fruit drinks, tea and coffee, but occasionally we would have a glass of bubbly or bucks fizz (all free on the AI). We found lunch and dinner to be equally well provided, and especially enjoyed the salads, which we would have as a first course. As there was a great variety of fish, steak, chicken, stew on offer, with plenty of potatoes, rice, pasta and vegetables - if you want to try everything, your plate will be heaving! The staff provide your drinks at lunchtime and dinner, which I find to be a little silly really. The staff are busy, and you sometimes have to catch their attention if they are busy clearing tables. Why they just don't allow residents to help themselves to the bottled water and soft drinks machine is beyond me. We liked to sit outside for our meals, and the birds would often be around your feet waiting for some crumbs! The bar area is usually quiet, with a pool table, internet/PC's in another corner and it has a relaxing feel about it. We saw one flamenco dance show, and a young lad who played the guitar - both of whom were very good, but otherwise it was just music playing in the background. If you are looking for entertainment/loud disco music every night, then this isn't the place for you to stay. The bar staff are hard working and extremely pleasant - I cannot praise them enough, as they were always happy to chat and smile, even though they were busy, and had other chores to undertake (watering plants outside, keeping sun loungers etc). We could always get a sun lounger (which have a little "mattress" and rolled-up bath towel) up until about 9:30, but the sun doesn't get to the building until then anyway! Children are not allowed in the Jacuzzi or the outside spa (located on the decked area), which I find to be a good idea as it distracts the children from running up and down (and possibly getting hurt) on the stairs. I'm not sure if it's an adult only hotel, but there weren't a lot of children around when we were there. Overall, (except for the awful weather!) our stay at the Fergus Paris Plaza was very enjoyable. The staff take pride in their work, and we were always greeted with a welcome and a smile (especially the lady who wore glasses in the dining room!). The hotel is immaculately clean. We watched the cleaners wash down both sides of the glass balcony (with an extension handle on the outside), and having dried them, polished them until they gleamed. They then polished down the table and chairs (even the chair legs), and took their time to clean each apartment. Towels were provided and beds made on a daily basis. The rest of the hotel was also immaculately clean. I cannot fault this hotel or it's staff at all. Well done Paris Plaza!
