never been so bored, all inclusive! don't make me laugh. they are more interested in paying guests. the bar selection of drinks was a joke i've got a bigger selection of drinks at home, you had to find a bar person everytime you needed a drink. the restaurant we had to clear our own tables and there was 1 salt & pepper pot for the whole restaurant. the pool was filthy never cleaned all the time we were there. no entertainment all week. we were glad to go home, this hotel is a stop over hotel not a hotel to spend more than 2 nights in very dissapointed.

Room Tip: ask for a limited few sea view

We booked as a last minute all inclusive deal for our family - 2 adults & 2 kids (11 & 8).

On arrival at 11.30pm, staff prepared us a meal in spite of it being outwith the all inclusive hours and were equally helpful throughout our stay.

We shared 1 room with a double & 2 fold away beds which didn't leave much room but there was plenty storage and a balcony with a lovely view.

The food was ok, enough choice to make sure everyone ate something and always replenished if something went quickly.

Snack was the same morning and afternoon and the kids must have eaten their weight in ice-cream!

The drink flowed, no probs with the all inclusive bar - plenty choice and generous amounts - and there was always wine available at meals. For the kids there was lots of choice too - orange, pineapple, lemon, coke, sprite, water, etc.

The pool is not heated and we decided was colder than the sea but this didn't stop our kids jumping in and out all day long! Besides, the beach is only 2 mins away and easy to go back and forth for meal times.

Not the place to go if you want your kids entertained all day and there was nothing at night but a great place to be if you want to have value for money and spend time as a family.

Would recommend the local bus service to Barcelona - easy and reasonable cost.

Thanks to all at Mediterranean Sand for a great holiday :-)

After booking this hotel the reviews seemed to take a tumble for the worst so we were a bit concerned before arrival. However when we arrived we were really pleased with the place. The entrance is bright and modern and the staff really friendly and helpful. The rooms were bright clean and looked as though everything was new, the same goes for the bathroom. We had asked for a room on one of the top floors with a sea view and this is exactly what we got so we had been listened to which was great. There were groups of teenagers as some of the reviews state but there was a good mix of all ages in all honesty and yes they sometimes got slightly loud but they were never really over the top, however if we had been next door to them we may have felt differently, they were how you would expect a group of teenagers to be and I suppose this depends on the type of person you are. My wife and myself are late 40s but they didn't bother us at all. We went all inclusive and found the food to be adequate and found a good choice (we never expected the type of all inclusive you would get in the Caribbean or such places) the staff did replace table cloths as quickly as they could when we were there but at certain times there was a constant flow of guests, so sometimes it wasn't always possible to get a spotless table cloth. The bar in my mind again was adequate providing Amstel lager and local spirits and cava white wine/local red and white wine which suited us and was what we expected, the black guy who worked most nights did a great job of dealing with the teenagers if he thought they were getting a bit rowdy or having to much.

We met some families who had been sold the holiday as a family holiday with younger children but I did agree with them that there wasn't much for younger children to do, literally just the pool, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel for children under 16 really.

We've just came back from this hotel after a 14 night stay , we thought the food was very good and the staff most helpful. The rooms are very clean and the bathroom very spacious . We had the all inclusive holiday and thought it was excellent value .
Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful holiday.

We are currently travelling back from this hotel, we did have some concerns before going after reading some of the reviews! I am glad to say we couldn't find a fault in it. The staff were helpful, the rooms were clean with clean sheets and towels! Food was great too there was something for everyone. The pool area was clean and we never had to wait to be served at the bar!!! We would recommend this hotel!

We booked on an allocation on arrival as were pleasantly suprised with the hotel.
The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily with fresh towels provided as well. the rooms are big and modern with a flat screen tv and the best air conditioning system we have ever encountered.
The food was well prepared and varied with something for everyone. The pool is lovely but could do with a few more sun beds. Although the hotel is so close to the beach I got the feeling most people went there instead. There were a lot of groups of german teenagers as some other reviews state, they were not any bother if you take the view "we were all young once". On that note I still found that it would be a good family hotel and will take my son there in the near future.
You can not fault the value for money. The food is great and the beds are clean, what more can you ask for when you pay so little to stay there.

Room Tip: all rooms have a pool or see view except those ending in 11 as this is a corner room on each floor w...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your honest review. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay at Mediterranean Sand Hotel.

Mediterranean Sand Hotel is indeed a good family hotel, excellent for it's situation, it's furbishing and services. We do have young people staying, but they are well behaved and if not, they are given notice and issues are quietly resolved.

We are glad that you enjoyed the beach and we hope that you took advantage of our beach parasol and chairs service.

Your comments are proof that our facilities and services meet the expectations of our guests. We only wish that happy guests like you would comment in TripAdvisor more often.

Thank you once again and I will let the rest of the staff know about your kind words.

Looking forward to your next visit! (P.S. when you come please ask for me, I'd like to personally welcome you!)

Best regards,
Esther F.
