This hotel is amazing! Modern, stylish and clean with friendly, helpful staff and situated in a perfect place on the road that runs paralell to a lovely beach and near to all the restaurants and shops. Wouldn't say that lloret da mar is a good place to holiday unless you are a young single on a group holiday but for a clubbing holiday for girls, this hotel would be perfect. Go and have a steak at La Pampa Steakhouse!

Spent 5 days here towards the end of October. We were lucky the weather was fine and in the 18 to 20 range sunny to overcast. The 2 days before our arrival they had incessant rain.Hotel is lovely for couples or one child. No swimming pool but directly across road from beach.Nice coastal walks either side of beach.Plenty of gift shops and Market on Tuesday, good bargains not hire quality but you will pay very little.
Enjoyed Irish coffees and glasses of wine in hotel at night.Alberto was professional and very courteous and would visit the hotel again because of his professional manner.Quite in lloret at this time of year but in suited us perfectly.Well done to all staff for making our time a very pleasant experience.

After a nightmare previous hotel, we booked into the hotel excelsior - absolutely beautiful. Rooms swish, funky and modern and so, so clean. We were lucky enough to have a room on the side - but, although the view from the beds was the solid wall of the hotel next door - when you stood out on the balcony and turned to the side, it was a view of the sea. Bernhard and Albert were really helpful friendly staff and the Manager was really nice too. I slept so, so well. The Spanish cava is served cold, and from 11 a.m. in the sun sat outside (start as you mean to go on!!) - great hotel, fabulous location (right on the front) but with no noise and the pleasure of feeling safe :) would def recommend to couples or families. The spa on the top floor is wonderful for 5 euros for 2 hours, you sit in the hot tub with a view of the beach -- lovely!

We had a room on one of the top floors with a sea view (paid a liitle extra for that, but it was worth it). Hotel was very clean and the staff was helpful (we had to print our boarding passes and there was no problem with that, plus they spoke English).

The rooms are small (unnecessary extra bed in a double room, but it wasn't a huge problem) but very clean.

Continental breakfast with a lovely coffe and tasty croissants etc.

Amazing view from jacuzzi and a roof 'solarium'

The hotel is situated in the middle of a promenade within a few steps from the beach and the older part of the town.

I have lived in Lloret for a while, visited it often and this is one of the nicest places I have visited. I have been to few hotels in Lloret, many are big, impersonal and quite boring, this one is very nice.

The hotel is small, it has a nice, friendly atmosphere and the customer service was great!
Our company organized one of the meetings there and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. After coming back from a lunch break we always found the conference room cleaned, we had orange juice, water waiting for us and even lovely coffee brought for us from downstairs.
The ladies at the front desk were always really nice (and they spoke English :)

The rooms we got (for a small extra charge) had beautiful view, like promised. I recommend it.

The place doesn't have a restaurant but there is many, many restaurants nearby. I recommend an Italian place down the street (5 minute walk) called de Paulo.
They have FABULOUS pizzas and salads. Customer service also top notch. Always.

Nice and clean hotel by the beach!
Would recommend this hotel for a short stay. Night staff were very friendly and helpful, even they didnt speak that much English.
Only minus is that a single room is quite small, but quality wise is more 4 star than 3 star.

But I was unlucky because the weather was terrible, is not much you can do in Lloret if the weather is bad..

My husband, 4 yr old son and I stayed here from 24-28 Jan 2009 - booked via Easijet website. This Best Western hotel has a great location, facing the beach - you cross 2 roads and a promenade to get to it. The hotel was very clean and although our room was on the side and faced onto the next building, we could still see the sea. Room was spotless, with a balcony, a double and single bed, comfy pillows, built-in wardrobe with safe, desk/chair and TV (could only get BBC World News and CNN in English). Plenty of towels, toiletries and hairdryer in bathroom. Room cleaned daily, used towels were replaced daily and bed sheets were replaced after 2 nights. We didn't have hot water 1st day (just lukewarm) and next morning but this was fixed by 9am. Heating was controllable from within the room. Hotel staff were polite and helpful, and it wasn't busy at all due to low season.

We booked room only but ate breakfast twice in hotel. They have a room attached to reception which doubles as a bar/cafe. Continental is 4 EUR for tea/coffee, juice, croissants, crusty rolls, cakes and jams. Plain omelette with sliced tomatoes 2EUR, eggs 2EUR, toast with jams or cereals around 1.50-1.70.

The town itself is nice with a lovely clean beach and narrow streets to explore, also very clean. We would never normally go to a resort like this, and I guess it would be entirely different in the summer when invaded by the 18-30s. Due to the low season, the vast majority of shops, nightclubs and eateries were closed (around 85-90%). We also didn't realise Barcelona Airport was so far away - I would definitely recommend flying to Girona if you want to stay at Lloret de Mar.

Bus to Barcelona takes an hour (direct link) and it cost 55EUR return for the 3 of us - good quality bus and a good day out. We got the 7.30am bus there and the 6pm bus back. You can also take a bus to Blanes (10-15 mins or so) then a train to Barcelona (1.5 hrs) - these run every 20 mins.

Other suggestions are the coastal walk to Fenals beach (south of Lloret) - not suitable for pushchairs, disabled or infirm as some steep steps and rocky paths - bus also runs there. Also catch the bus to Tossa de Mar which has a lovely beach and old town to explore. This town was even quieter than Lloret!

Would definitely recommend hotel and resort for low-mid season breaks if you like it fairly quiet.

  • Liked — Cleanliness, location
  • Disliked — No proper restaurant, narrow pavement outside
