Hotel Acapulco Lloret de Mar

We did not know where we were staying, Lloret de Mar, but it sounded nice and was a good price. Ended up in a town on the beach surrounded by discos, bars, restaurants and shop upon shop of the same gift items. Nice hotel, but 3 of the neighboring hotels have very loud disco and salsa music going on until about 3 or 4 in the morning. Bring sleeping pills! Restaurant onsite was decent. Eat at the grill house down the street. Excellent!! Parking for the hotel is a good 10 minute walk from the hotel. Would recommend this hotel to 20 to 30 years olds looking to party all night or older folk who can handle the loud music.

Room Tip: Stay off the main street if possible as hotels next to it have loud music going on most of the night...

The hotel strikes a semi reasonable balance between price and value.

Location isnt great, not so near the beach and need quite a few other hotels, could be worse though.

Rooms are very basic but fine, walls are paper thin so take ear plugs. Clean and bathroom small but ok.

Staff I thought were pretty good. All helpful and none seemed suicidal.

Facilities are basic, small bar and pool.

Food. I read reviews on here before going and I was expecting a lot more. I was expecting better quality, I dodged a few meals as I couldnt face the blandness.

Tip: Get B&B only, save your money and go out to eat, more fun and better quality, Use this hotel as a place to sleep and go and find some nice beaches and better nightlife away from the area.

First the good points - Cleaniness and frequency of towel and linen changes were excellent and daily. Room size isnt great for more than 2 people and balcony size is just ok - just chairs no table our view was terrible was akin to looking at a spainish housing estate.
The staff from cleaner to manager were exceptionally friendly and curteous to our family, each always having a happy smile for our young son. Location was excellent and the Hotel amenities were very good - pool was very clean and the baby pool was always partially shaded from the sun which was good.
Now the not so good points - The food at breakfast was very disapointing and clearly aimed at their french and german customers of which there were many. On three separate mornings my husband had undercooked fried eggs and the poolside snack menu is overpriced and pathetic there were only 5 items on the whole menu that were available and those were not anything special ie cheese toastie - (no butter). A few nights we were wakened around 3-4am due to noise from other hotels and other Acapulco guests - not great with a 1yr old!. One morning at 9am security came to our room to ask us to stop playing music as other guests were sleeping - it was music from my sons toy! Not impressed.
As a summary Hotel is ok would not recommend. Lloret itself is a nice but forgettable place however some very memorable restaurants on the beachfront special mention to the fantastic Orient express.

Room Tip: Try to upgrade if possible.

The hotel staff are helpfull curtious and friendly, best i have experienced, the hotel is well located for the bus station and the town, and beaches. the rooms are clean and have all essentials, you may experience some typical holliday type noise at night but not excessive. The breakfast is excellent served in a lovely peacefull dining area , the serving staff again very friendly. This hotel has the feel of family run business that has a genuine interest in its guests of both young and old.you will see smiling faces sign of a good hotel. Excellent hotel would reccomend to all ages.

Good points about this hotel, very clean, reception staff and cleaner lovely.
Plenty of shops in resort.
Bad points hotel very noisy in the centre of Lloret next to bars and clubs, lots of late teens early 20s staying in the hotel, with no regard for anyone else, very noisy when returning from the clubs in the early hours.Very noisy outside the hotel with groups of young people shouting and screaming at all hours.
Beds resemble camp beds with thin matresses.
Pool area very small with only around 20 sunbeds, nothing for children to do at the hotel.
Entertainment 3 nights a week, magic act dire.
Food very poor choice and mostly just about edible.
A cheap holiday, but prepare to have very little sleep, so no good for a relaxing holiday during the busy high season.

Lloret De Mar is a beautiful place for summer vacation, especially if you're young, or at least feel that way. Beautiful beaches, especially Platja de Sa Boadella, Santa Christina and Traumal, which can easily be accessed by open beaches and gardens bus, rocky beaches, nice botanical gardens, streets in typical mediterranean style and vibrant nightlife. And Barcelona is only hour away by bus. Anyway, hotel has excellent location, in the centre of Lloret, just a few steps away from the main boulevard, but it is still far enough, so it is not very noisy in the night (except for the groups of German and French teenagers staying at the hotel and partying in the rooms, but that's not the hotel's fault). Hotel staff is very polite and helpful, they speak at least four languages, food in the restaurant is excellent, and you can chill out or take a swim at the charming pool area, which also has tourist animation every night. Safety in the hotel is also very good, and cleanliness is on very high level. You can get all the stuff that you need in the supermarket right next to the hotel and like I already said, clubs and pubs are just a few steps away. Anyway, this hotel has everything that is needed for excellent summer vacation, and we would definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!!!!
