“If you want sleep - Avoid!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2013

Impressed with hotel on first arrival but then quickly learned that the prices of everything were on the expensive side, pool was very good and our young son enjoyed his time there discipline at the pool though was lacking as there was people jumping , running and doing dangerous stuff which could have injured themselves or others, needs a few basic rules there in my opinion. Sunbeds are quickly taken before breakfast by the laying down of towels although there are signs up in every language saying this is not allowed, other reviews and comments state that the staff intervene and remove these towels if they see other guests doing it, never seen this happen, personally I would just remove the towels and put them on a nearby chair and let the staff sort it out after.

If you want a wifi service at the hotel pool then go to the hotel across the road Guitart and pay them 20 euros for the week which is better than the 10 euros you will need to pay to get unlimited download from this hotel where the wifi is no better than the free one. THis is an easy fix for this hotel to sort out why not use the money people are paying for wifi to invest in a better system than they currently have. wifi in the rest of the hotel hit and miss even in their so called wifi hotspot. You can charge more for decent wifi see above!!

Sleep is a commodity you can get in the afternoon as the nighttime is when you will not get any sleep due to rowdy german kids, families and anyone else that thinks it's acceptable to be shouting banging doors slamming doors, running down corridors and using the fire escape as a means of entering the floor and acting like complete idiots in the middle of the night. THis hotel knows this is an issue but does very little to combat it apart from saying you can phone reception which is okay if you can pinpoint 1 individual but when multiple people are acting like idiots is difficult to control and you quickly lose interest in phoning reception about it.

Food was okay on average for what you pay but after a fortnight you'll be glad your not eating there anymore, I found it bland at best with very little flavour and can get monotonous quite quickly. At dinner the trucks roll down to buy pricey bottles of soft drinks so expect of pay close to 8 euros for 3 bottles of pop. Staff also reach over you to take away dirty plates which can be quite annoying for dining etiquette before you have finished your meal. I think staff should ask if they can take away your plates and get you to hand them over to them rather than reach across you.

Staff on the whole were quite good though special mention to Enric who runs the restaurant extremely well and is always on the ball you have a problem there speak to him.

Room itself was good and cleanliness was excellent this was the best part.

Entertainment was dire nothing for kids apart from Saturday night where the magician show is on this needs to be fixed as entertainment is needed more. I have outlined the entertainment as per below

Sat - Magician (good for kids)
Fri - Oriental dancing (good for dads) unsuitable family entertainment although does start slightly later.
Weds - flamenco dancing - will bore anyone who isn't spanish or older within about 5 mins
Tues & Thurs - Chill out night where they convert poolside to a comfy relaxing environment and play either terrible music or get a local artist that can't sing to torture your ear drums. All of this is drowned out by the party in the hotel opposite.
Sun - Latin dancing night - it's okay for the once i seen it but not that entertaining although they do involve the kids.

Would never come here again as too many things niggled,
Fridge 20 euros, safe 19 euros , drinks over the top prices 3.70 for a pint of draught San Miguel

Room Tip: Get put on floor 6 at least you won't have nutters moving furniture above you.

Dear guest,

Thank you for your visit and expend your time writing your review about our Hotel at Tripadvisor.
After your review, we have talked about on our staff meetings and we are trying to solve some of the points that you have comment.

About the behavior of some of our guests, sometimes we couldn’t make anything about except trying to explain to them that some behaviors are not allowed and hope that they will understand it. This is a truly and difficult task for our staff and especially in the high high season when the hotel is fully booked.

For example, as you know the swimming pool terrace have some advertisements about the activities that are not allowed for a safety behavior on the swimming pool, about not allow to reserve the loungers… but always some people could not understand that these rules are made for a good coexistence of the guests hotel.

The most common about the loungers is that the waiters on the bar terrace, they take out and keep in the bar, the towels from the loungers which are with nobody; once the owners from the towels ask about their towels and get them back, our staff use to inform about it is not allow to reserve loungers.

This summer we have checked the Wi-Fi points again because it was true that some of our guests after the winter renovation has informed about some points at the hotel where the signal was low or poor and our technicians have repaired and note what must be done for a better connection. Although, as the Wi-Fi is free for our guests, when the hotel is fulled booked if nearly all the users are connected at the same time could collapse the Wi-Fi net or decrease the speed of the connection.

As you have reported, someone who is coming late in night especially when other guests are sleeping could be really disturbing. But our night staff tries to avoid the maximum noise and escort to the room the small groups of persons who are arriving at late night. Because of this, the security of the hotel are walking through the corridors trying that the guest being less disturbing as it will be possible.

All the persons who are visiting our website, could check the main features of the hotel and they are informed about the extra costs of some other services like mini refrigerator, safety boxes, parking places, massages or that the drinks are not included on the meals .

We really appreciate also your comments about our entertainment program, but please, it’s a little bite impolite thus could be more or less pleasing from your point of view the different shows but could offend the sensibility of the artist or the audience who enjoy and find interesting the shows.

Once again, we really thank you about your comments and we put the best in order to improve our services.

Yours sincerely,

Hotel Acapulco Lloret

Good 3 star, can't fault hotel staff, can get bit noisy as lloret is a party town( think of it as Magaluf but mainly occupied by Germans) , so If you are looking for calm and relaxing hols avoid lloret :-)
Food as expected from 3 star, nice swimming pool, small but sims to accommodate everybody without problem. Housekeeping department remain a mystery to us. Overall happy for what we pay (high season), If I was single in my twenties, hotel would be ideal for me.
La Parilla restaurant , highly recommended , big mama in charge haha, she so funny :-)
Avoid Spar supermarket, what a ripoff !!
Visit Rob Roy tavern(round a corner), classy if you have good sense of humour and don't get upset to easily:-) don't bower before 9-10 pm as bar is dead unless you are after relaxing pint :-)

Room Tip: Think hotel could do more, while placing party people with families We were lucky :-) ((had my moto...

Me and my husband stayed in acapulco from 13th until 27th of July. We were given room 112. on the 1st floor, just above the bar and swimming pool.

Pluses:
- the staff- very helpful and polite
- air con- worked very well
- cleaning service- daily; towels changed daily, bed sheets changed approx. 4 times during or stay; shampoo, shower gel etc. sachets supplied when required
- breakfast- a proper selection of meat d bread, however ot enough veg/ fruit
- location- very close to shops and main street, 10 mins wal from casino or beach; 5 mins from Spar and bus station.

Minuses

- the size of the room- very tiny!!!
- fridge payment!!!- 19 Euros per week plus 10 Euros deposit (refundable)
- necessity to pay for the plastic sunbeds to use oj your balcony- 5 Euros per ped per day!!!!Those were not used otherwise by the pool- there were wooden beds there available
- the amount of sunbeds by the pool ot sufficient . most guests could find one
- no guard by the pool- or at least someone to minitor drunks- they were head-jumping into the pool, deep 1.4 metres....
- horrible shows offered, especially magic show with an aged zorro , or a singer show (thursdays)- if you wish to listen to a person that cannot sing, it is perfect for you
- the safe- price 19 Euro for a small and 20 for a big. We asked for a big one to store our laptop, payed in advance and what did we get- a safe that can keep two wallets at best!
- the noise- that was just terrible, the hotel was full of young Germans who partied until 4-5 am- the security did nothin about it; we complained but it was not taken into account. I must admit, the girls were worse than boys!!!

Otherwise, LLoret is a party place, but even if you do like some quality time you can find something to do. Beach is stunnig, but take water shoes as the sand is a more like small pebbles!! The sunbeds were 9 Euros a day plus 6 Euros for an umbrella.

Do not take trips to barcelona- it is cheaper to get a bus and than city tour. The tickets sold at the bus station are timed!!!So buy yours in advance.

The food was really nice especially in Italian restaurant Il Forno- I can recommend great pizzas and salads.

Beach bars sell great cocktails- from 11 Eros...You can buy one that has 4 litres for 70 Euros. The best bar in my opinion was Loco Bar.

All in all, I would not go back ue to oise and necessity to pay for all basic equippment like fridge.I am marking as average minus.

Room Tip: Taxi from Girona costs around 55 Euros- so spare yourself time and do not book the transport, unless...

My friends and i have just come back from a seven night stay in Lloret.
Its such a shame nobody told us that it would be like a 18 to 30 holiday.
As we are all in our sixtys it was quite intimidating to go out walking the streets.
The hotel is fabulous and the staff are friendly and very helpful with special mention
of Enric Albert and Martine.
The rooms were spotless with clean sheets and towels every day, with a safe and
fridge available for 19 euros a week.
The majority of the hotel was full up with these young people and they made it impossible
for us to get any sleep as they party in the room until two thirty in the morning!
Such a shame for this lovely hotel its a pity we couldnt pick it up and move it somewhere else

Room Tip: room 126 and 129 were lovely but still had loads of noise from the young people and the don juon op...

Me and my friends stayed at this hotel last week.I was pleased with the location of the hotel as it is 5 minutes away from the bus station and it is very close to the shops, the beach and the restaurants. The staff is really friendly and helpful for example we asked the receptionist several questions about the safe ,excursions such as port avventura .They also have a shuttle bus service to go to the airport which is about 15 euros per person which is a good price compared to a taxi. The hotel is also good value for money considered that it was peak season. The hotel is well maintained and clean. In general the food is good .The rooms are modern and have the necessities that one needs for example a flat screen with various channels,wi-fi ,a blower , AC and so on .The only downside is that the there isn't a mini fridge available in the rooms. I will Definitely recommended to my friends.

I'm going to say that we are used to the luxurious hotels from Turkey or Caribbean. This was a good hotel for the south of Spain. But right when we got in the country our bags were lost, not only ours but everybody's. Anyway this has nothing to do with the hotel, but when we first got at the hotel there was this lady at the reception that told us that we have to get in the most expensive apartment in the hotel, for 2 days. We have booked 2 double rooms and now we had to pay more. Anyway, the apartment was so SO poor the kitchen was poor, the plates and glasses weren't properly washed. Actually not even washed. The couch was uncomfortable and made noises. One of the rooms in the apartment was ok, the other one was empty, it didn't even have a dresser. After 2 days we got moved to another rooms, 2 double. Me and my sister took a room and my parents took another. It was soooo small we had to change the rooms. They again changed us in a apartment, which again was poor. The food was OK nothing special or fabulous. Just your average meal. The same food everyday. The shows were poor, and nothing for kids. The pool was sooo small you couldn't fit in and it was full with douche bags. The WI-FI is simply horrible, it didn't work in the whole hotel only in the reception. The couches in the reception weren't comfortable at all. By the way there is no soap, you have to get soap yourself. In the last day we made a reclamation about them to the agency we booked from, and they were soo rude to us after we made it. Also in the last day we wanted to check out at 12 Pm but they for i don't know what reason didn't agree. The agency told us at at 12 pm they were like no you have to give 30 euros.Even the hotel in front them ( Don Juan ) is better. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Came back on Saturday. 29.06.2013

Dear Guests,
Thank you for your review. After check it, we have detected that your review isn’t at all honest about.
It’s true that you arrived with a voucher from your travel agency with 2 double rooms although they have booked for you an apartment for 2 days and 2 double standard rooms for the following nights because they haven’t made the reservation until the day before your arriving at the hotel. The hotel was fully booked and they don’t have the budget for booking the superior apartment for the whole stay.
Obviously, be moved from the best accommodation to a standard room could disappoint to the guest who must to be moved.
Our cleaning staff has been always reviewed as a really good staff and you just have a look about the value of this department on Tripadvisor or from other websites about the experiences from guests.
The day before from the reception you were asked about your wishes, double bed room or twin room. The day that you were moved to the double standard rooms, as the doubled standard rooms where fully booked, you were upgraded to a swimming-pool view without extra cost as a courtesy from the hotel in order you could have the rooms close one to each other. However, you weren’t happy and ask at midnight for being moved from the swimming-pool view to another room. From the reception as you are a family and your daughters are children, it was no possibility to move in a room close to the other and the front desk staff ask to you to wait at the next day for been together in 2 rooms joined and from the same type that the room which pleased to you. You didn’t accept you wanted to be moved and they upgraded without asked to you to a really nice new renovated room, the Family room. This is a special type of room, the biggest by size, but not an apartment as you have explained.
About the amenities are in the bathroom and always you could ask for more to the clean lady or at the reception because are for the guests disposal for 24 hours. And as you know, they were always polite with you although sometimes you weren’t not at all with them. Just to remind you that about 2 days they were contacting to the flight company claiming for your lost luggage and they suggest you to contact to your travel agency for the inconveniences about your reservation because they weren’t honest with you.
I’m really upset because we couldn’t help you and you were disappointed from the first step caused for your lost luggage and obviously because at your travel agency they promise to you something that never have been booked before.
Maybe our hotel has been not reported as the most luxury hotel from the city but all our guests well-known that our staff could be the most accommodating and helpul with the customers.
