I have to agree with previous reviews, this is a low budget german youth hostel, not a hotel. I had no remote control for TV and air conditioning in the room. Even the power button of the TV was missing, so the only way to turn it on was to plug it power outlet, same for air conditioning. No soap in the bathroom. Three kinds of sausage, and one kind of cheese in the breakfast, no yogurts and fruits. And so on.

This place is none other than a youth hostel. It housed around 250 german youths who kept us all awake all night everynight by banging doors, shouting, swearing, loud music. We couldnt take anymore, so we contacted the spanish rep after 3 nights of suffering, and we were finally offered an alternative hotel which made a complete difference to our holiday. We were able to enjoy it. They hogged the dining room so the B&B we'd paid for was not honoured as they had all the food and there was nowhere to sit so we ended up forking out for breakfast elsewhere even though we had paid to have it at the caribe. The swimming pool was the size of a garden pond, it was a nightmare. Never again. Its ideal if your a student but as a family (with 2 teens) it is not recommended. Its uphill in a back street and has no vehicular access, we wasnt worried about that, we just wanted something near the beach and pleasant, the latter being nowhere near. Feel free to try it yourself or you could take the safer option and go somewhere where you will have a lovely time, we did in the end when we got transferred.

Got a superbly cheap week for me and the missus in Lorette De Mar, I'd heared good things about the place.
We stayed at Hotel Caribe, seriously the worst place on earth!.

The hotel is nice, food was ample and quite ok for the price, BUT I kid you not I lost count of the times we couldnt sleep because of the loutish german students who occupied the main of the hotel. The management and staff must be used to this because their attitude when dealing with them was a discrace!.

If you are interested in a 16 to 18's experience then do it, go, but families, or anyone wishing to have a nice stay in Lorrette, please take my advice and steer clear!!!!.

It ruined a good weeks holiday and for this reason and this reason alone I will never return to Lorette De Mar. Shame.

We arrived late Saturday night to very friendly staff who made us feel welcome. After reading reviews before we went we thought it would be awful but it's not. The pool area is nice, the outside Bar very reasonable in price.
The breakfast was good and had great fresh breads, croissants and donuts everyday!!
Dinner was pretty good and changed daily.

I do agree with earlier comments that it is not s family hotel.

The hotel was so close to the beach, shops and other bars and restaurants. Me and my friend had a great stay and we are in our late twenties.

The week went by without a hitch. We recommend the park bar on the sea front which was our local with swing seats and the friendliest bar staff and owners.

Would go back again and stay there again!!

This hotel is more like a youth hostel. It was fun of hundreds of students (18 year olds). They played loud music in the pool area all night - and pushed an shoved in the queue at meal times. It was like being back at school.

The management were rude - and all the staff at the 'hotel' were unfriendly. The rooms were ok - but not actually located in the
'hotel' itself. The tv had no remote control and the walls were so thin we could hear what the people in the next room were talking about. Rooms also had no air con.

The food was like school dinners - mostly fried food and nothing for vegetarians at all. Breakfast was even worse - it was the poorest quality food I have ever eaten.

The lifts in the 'hotel' were covered in grafiti - and there is no way this 'hotel' can be rated as 3 star.

Even if I was invited back here free of charge I would say "no way".

We booked into this hotel for a short mid-week break and after reading the reviews on this website, we were expecting the worst.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, we arrived early evening to very friendly and polite staff. The room was large, bathroom very clean and looked new. The pool did seem small in relation to the size of the hotel, but the hotel was very busy when we stayed there and the pool area was never crowded.

There was quite a wide varierty of food served, breakfast was continental, lunch and dinner were mostly soups, salad, meats, fish, pasta and potatoes, chips etc.

The beach is a 5 minute walk away and shops/bars/restaurants are even closer.

This is a good hotel for a younger traveller.

Do not do it! We arrived on 1 Sept to unfriendly staff, a room full of around 40 students, were kept up all night by students knocking on eachothers doors etc at 4.30 in the morning.

The pool is the size of two double beds with hardcore loud music pumping out by it all day and the food is just mostly fried and very very limited - not much variety on a day to day basis. It is definitely catered for teenagers - chips, fried nuggets, pizza etc etc.

Our room to be fair was not too bad, although there was a view of a wall (nice) and one of the beds creaked so so much that you could not sleep on it. The TV did not work and there was graffiti carved out on the lift doors.
