“Lovely comfy cottage in prefect location”
Reviewed 21 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

A beautiful stone cottage right in the center of Croyde and a 10 min walk to the beach. This was an ideal location for me and my 2 boys. Other than a trip to the supermarket we hardly used the car. There is a well equipped kitchen for cooking family meals. We did also eat out on a few occasions but food in the village is mainly pub fare although I would definitely recommend the pop up pizza restaurant outside the Post Office.

The beds in the cottage are super comfy and as the cottage is down a cul de sac it was lovely and quiet too. You can park your car just outside the cottage which was extremely useful as I think parking is at a premium in the village. (would recommend reversing in so your not blind sided when trying to get out). The garden around the side was a prefect place to relax and read with a glass of wine.

There's lots of places in and around the village to hire boards and wetsuits - we used Ralph's and did a surf school with Surf South West which was brilliant.

We had a mixture of weather but when you're in a wet suit it doesn't really matter if it rains and it's also nice to just potter around the village or relax in the cottage. The boys made good use of the WIFI and lounging around on the lazy boy sofas! There's a small selection of DVD's but would recommend you bring your own to suit your tastes.

We've only been back a couple of days and I'm already planning next years visit.

Hi Tim, We were very sorry to hear of the issues you had especially as we had taken the time to decorate the cottage to make it Christmassy for you. We will get someone to look at the problem. We have sent you a small sum as an apology. Wishing you and your partner a very happy New Year,

“Lovely cottage, ideal for a family visit & Surfing the village of Croyde”

The cottage is in a quiet and ideal central location of Croyde. A short walk from the pubs and beach. The surfers beach of Saunton is within a very short drive, with Woolacombe within easy driving distance.
The cottage is an ideal size and well equipped for all needs and is an ideal space for a family or group of friends. It is clean and well presented.
The heating for a our half term visit in October was great, with plenty of hot water and excellent shower.
We didn't get to use the outside area but the BBQ and space looked great for summer.
Jon and Tricia answered all queries quickly and the refundable deposit was returned quickly with no fuss.
Kitchen fully equipped with new washing machine and dishwasher along with all the utensils etc making it a home from home.
Thanks for a great stay, we will be returning!

“Perfect surfing weekend with friends”
Reviewed 20 May 2016 for a stay in May 2015

Croyde Manor Mews was PERFECT! Amazing location, so peaceful and quiet, tucked away in the middle of Croyde and yet so close to the shops, ice-creams, post office, pubs. Short walk to the beach and stunning cliff walks. Surprisingly big for a 2 bed house. Roomy rooms and large kitchen/diner. Loved having parking outside the house. Hosts and housekeeping were so kind, brilliant communication and spotless property with good welcome and bottle of wine! Decking outside was a massive bonus, especially as we had a beautifully sunny weekend, we were outside pretty much the whole weekend. Enjoyed sitting in the kitchen having breakfast round a table, that was also a plus. It was the perfect location for our friends' gathering: staying in a beautiful home (equipped with everything including 2 cafetieres!), had a stand up paddle boarding lesson with Croyde Surf Academy down the road, which was so fun, a walk along National Trust cliff walk Baggy Point and meal at The Thatch (plus relaxing and surfing on the beach). Wonderful to be able to walk everywhere.
Didn't use the sitting room at all as we were out on the decking instead (the lounge was lovely though!) Will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family. Next time we can use the sitting room!

Cannot fault this rental. Perfect location and everything you need for a great stay by the beach. Thank you to Tricia for her very helpful emails and the welcome bottle of wine! Only thing missing was an outside tap for washing wetsuits. Would definitely recommend.
