“Doesn't miss a beat!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 September 2013

Snug Cove Bn'B would have to come close to being the best bed and breakfast in Australia!
Me and my sister arrived around 7pm after a long day of driving from Sydney (en route to Melbourne) and Jennifer greeted us with a lovely glass of wine and beautiful cheese platter - She went above and beyond to make us feel at home instantly! That night we sat by the fire, chatting with the other lovely guest and enjoying the comfortable and spacious shared living space. Our room its self was PERFECT too - comfortable bed, well equipped bathroom, clean, comfortable - instantly felt at home. The next morning we opened our bedroom door onto the balcony where Eric served us a BEAUTIFUL breakfast on the deck, we had everything from lovely coffee, fresh fruit, cereals, hot breakfast options, toast with jams - anything you like really! We enjoyed our breakfast on the deck with the other guests, basking in the sun and watching whales in the bay. Could not have been more perfect.
The thing that really puts snug cove apart from any other b n b is that every detail is accounted for. From the moisturizers, soaps, body wash in the bathroom, extensive breakfast choices in the morning, comfortable shared space with a variety of tea and coffee making options (not just 1 tea option for example), home made biscuits on the table or the abundance of tourist information handy both in maps and pamphlets but also from Jennifer and Eric themselves - snug cove has it all! And above all, the place is run by the most generous and hospitable couple, Jennifer and Eric. Thank you thank you for a night in your little paradise - we will never forget it.
Snug Cove is also a MUST just to check out the fabulous day core - snapshots of little bits of history all around you - fabulous ;)

We chose Snug Cove on the basis of the reviews and were still blown away! Everything that people rave about is true and the wow factor of this property has set a new benchmark for places to stay. We agree with all the comments about location, friendly and very helpful service, great rooms, every thing you could possibly need and a scrumptious breakfast. We were also blessed with sensational weather so that the view sparkled and sightseeing was delightful. I had chosen this place as somewhere nice to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we were very well looked after and felt quite spoilt. Little touches: wide selection of quality toiletries, fun decor, view from the spa, home made goodies in the lounge and those breakfast creeps! Jen and Eric really enjoy people and it shows.

Thank you J and P for your review.
After you left we had whales in the bay.
Hope your ECO stay was a delight and a potential family get together venue.
Not too far from home.
Would like to have talked more about your time in SE Asia etc.
All the best J and E

Snug Cove B&B is one of those little Gems you promise yourself you'll go back to and I have no hesitation in giving the place a fist full of gold stars.

It's best characterised as an "up-market" B&B that offers a high level of amenity and exceptional value for money. Attention to detail and personalised friendly service characterise this place. The rooms are clean and well appointed all with their own generous en-suites. The beds are firm and offer a comfortable nights sleep. The décor is a mix of styles that take cues from Victorian, federation, Edwardian rustic and even a dash of modern. It sounds eclectic, but some how it all pulls together into a cosy integrated feel.

The location is pretty good too with 180 degree views that take in to bay and Eden harbour and walk down the hill to the water front. Town centre is little more than a 40 second drive away.

The dining and lounge areas of the B&B include 24/7 coffee and tea making facilities as well as complimentary cookies that look very home made. The area opens up onto a broad timber deck that would be perfect for breakfasts with a view on sunny mornings. As for breakfast, that's included in the tariff and it's as hearty or as light as you want to make it and you can have it prepared as you like it - its a "custom" service that can accommodate many dietary needs.

But the real heart of this place is the proprietors. They are genuinely happy to have guests and they take care of you with a hospitality that seems all but lost in the cities and that really does make all the difference.

As for the negatives... it's hard to think of one, except perhaps the hot water system can get a little erratic when all the guests are taking showers at the same time and the proprietors are making breakfast. But this really is a very minor concern and easy to work around.

Would we go there again? You bet! Would we recommend the place? Absolutely.

Thank you for your detailed review.
More descriptive than our web site.
Much appreciated.
We have had whales in the bay the last couple of days and 2 tall ships.
Just adds to the view.
Hope to see you and J. again.
Cheers

Based on Trip Advisor we chose this B&B for our trip from Melbourne to Sydney. The choice didnt let us down with the views from our room both day and night absolutely brilliant. The complimentary drinks and chesee before dinner were a nice touch. Also quality crockery/cutlery to enjot our purchased dinner on the terrace were a nice touch.Aside from 2 flights of stairs to negatiate the stay coulnt be faulted.

Room Tip: Make sure you have a front room with a view.Having said that I think they all do

We loved the fact that you had dinner in the dark, on your balcony, in winter!
The lights on the wharves are lovely at night.
We are SO lucky.
Thank you for sharing.

Had such a good time here, lovely breakfast menu, nice guest lounge to relax in if you don't fancy going out. Jen and Eric gave excellent recommendations for a local hike - saw kangaroos and dolphins! Felt very lucky to have made a great choice with snug cove b&b x

Thank you!
We hope you enjoyed your drive today and catching up with friends at Mossy Point.
Can't really beat kangaroos and dolphins to boost our business. Well Eden, it is not all about us.
Enjoy the rest of your journey.

A delight to have you both stay.
We hope the journey to Phillip Island was enjoyable and that the weather wasn't too bad.
I bet the driving hours for the L plater are getting close to the required number.
Something lovely about a mother daughter road trip.
Thank you for finding us!
