“Local Treasure”
Reviewed 27 March 2014 via mobile

Eden dwellers should feel lucky they have Sprout in their town. We had toasted panini for lunch & they were simple but tasty. The coffee was great (I went back the next day for a takeaway & it was just as good). The service was friendly & the cakes looked great. But the thing I loved most was there was local fruit & veg at reasonable prices, fresh bread & some frozen supplies too. Keeping it fresh & local makes a good cafe great I reckon.

“Beautiful fresh wholesome food”
Reviewed 25 March 2014 via mobile

We had lunch here and loved it. Fresh, healthy, and reasonable. Staff extremely helpful to accomodate us.
It's not easy to travel Australia as a no meat no sugar foodie - we need more places like this! Highly recommend. You can also buy fresh local produce to take home.

“A 'must'”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

Recommended by our B&B hosts we bought quiche and salad as a takeaway so that we could have it for dinner later that day - Eden lacks any good restaurants so this was an excellent suggestion.

The food is fresh, well made and altogether delicious. Service was excellent too.

We returned for teas/coffees and had a very pleasant time in the cafe.

There is fresh produce and deli items to buy.

This is a real 'find' and a welcome addition to Eden which desperately needs some more 'up market' eateries.

“Sprout cafe Eden”
Reviewed 22 February 2014

We were January 2014, the cafe was always busy, great food, coffee and smoothies fantastic and great array of fresh produce to buy. Also the staff were lovely too. Great cafe to add to some of the other enjoyable eateries in town.

“A Refreshing Break from Road Trip Food”
Reviewed 26 December 2013 via mobile

Take a break from the fish and chips, pizza, or burgers and give this place a try.

The restaurant is quaint with indoor seating for approximately 18: 4 four-person tables and 1 one-person table. There are also a couple of 2-person tables outside, which are covered in case of rain, but are directly on a main street.

The fresh food is clearly seen just in front of the register. There are refrigerators and baskets filled with vegetables, herbs, and other fresh products. They use them for the meals and also sell them to the public.

My husband ordered the chicken nachos and they were wonderful. The salsa was a little sweet and the beans just a tad spicy, but definitely not too much. It was a perfect combination with the salty chips. The portion was also very substantial. I got a toasty with ham, cheese, caramelized onion, and baby spinach. However, I asked if it would be possible to add the feta and pesto spread (shown on another toasty) and the owner, who was working the register, was more than willing to accommodate my request. She was also nice enough to make the added side salad a small Caesar salad (without the egg) and I don't think she charged anything for it. It was also good and came out warm, but I must admit that my husband made the better choice. His nachos were sooooo good, yet different than the usual nachos you get at a Mexican restaurant.

We enjoyed this place and would come back.
