“Disappointing”
Review of The Tree Bar

Called in with the view of returning later that night for a meal. The only seating available for an afternoon drink were uncomfortable "fixed" timber stools running along the external deck. Not the most welcoming place to sit and enjoy a few drinks while enjoying the stunning view. We didn't bother going back for dinner.

The views onto the ocean is really nice and so are the staff. The menu is limited and meals are average but at least the price commensurate with the quality.

We were so looking forward to our tea at this pub. What a disappointment it was. We decided to eat in the pub side as it was Sunday night and nice and quiet. We waited over 45 minutes before I finally asked if they had forgotten our meals. We were told they had a big table in the restaurant so they were busy. Ours would be another 10 minutes! We looked in the restaurant and there were a spattering of people. I understand it can get busy but this was definitely not a busy night and people should not have to wait an hour for meals without being forewarned. Staff were completely disinterested! Meals were average to say the least. I had the mini seafood basket and it was definitely not fresh, just pre packaged frozen rubbish with soggy chips. Great spot for a beer and to watch the view but that’s it’s. Don’t bother with meals. Never again for us!

Stopped for coffee and cake. Large long black arrived as a short black in a small cup. Large capichino arrived in a large cup one third coffee froth and no chocolate.
Caramel slice had been halved before it was served.
Don’t visit here except for the view.

Staying in the region popped up to beautiful 1770. There isn't too much choice for a place to eat. We chose The Tree 1770 as it had fish and chips the Marina didn't. The view is lovely from the cafe area. You can get a beer if you want. We ordered lunch it came out quickly. My husband said the fish was a little bland and oily. Chips were great. I had the salt and pepper calamari (very salty) and chips. Son said his rib fillet burger was fabtastic. Coffee was excellent. Its a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view.
