it was very hot when we arrived. The room had been precooled for us. Little extra thoughts like this mean a lot! The extra goodies supplied were again fantastic. This is always our accommodation of choice when going to Angaston.

Got a pretty good deal on Wotif for this one so we headed off for the long weekend. Picked up the key in Tanunda, which is probably a redundant step as I'm sure they could just send or phone you the details and avoid that step. Anyhow, the entrance door were not marked at all, so you weren't sure if they were to apartments or the building. Once inside I can only agree with the other reviews here about the weird bordello style common area. Thank God the better half still has good eyesight as there is no way I would have been able to unlock the key safe. Once inside though, all was OK. It was a nice 2 br apartment. Bedrooms a bit small, but lounge, kitchen and bathroom were fine. Well appointed. Needed to fiddle the TV settings a little to watch Austar properly, but that was a good inclusion. Quiet end of the street. Do get some noise from other apartments, but not much worse than most hotels. Everything worked. The "king bed" was two king singles together, which is usually ok, but these were not zipped together and had a gulf. And they were too short, so points off for that. The included "Barossa Bites" were generous, but had nothing to do with the Barossa! Overall good value for the price.

We stayed in this apartment during the end of December 2013, and after a long drive from Melbourne we were greeted with the fabulous air conditioner and a fully equipped kitchen - complete with wine, spices, chocolates and various other little treats. The check in was very easy and the staff helpful as we had the option of doing it over the phone or in person. The apartment we stayed in had two huge bedrooms, a very nice bathroom with a two person shower. As well as cable TV and a lovely view. A bonus was it is only a 2 minute walk to the main street and Blonde Coffee which serves up one of the best coffees in Barossa.

Room Tip: Try and pick something on the second floor if possible.

Not sure I can add anything new that hasn't already been said by previous reviewers. The decor is quite off-putting at first sight, especially the deep red entrance foyer. Dark even in daylight with the lights on, it has an almost foreboding feel, certainly not very welcoming. Especially after the lack-lustre backyard where the car parking is. The units themselves are better, but are over furnished with a large collection of Asian artefacts. In the case of decorating small units, less is more. Surely would be easier to clean, too. Food packs were a welcome addition, saved us going out to look for breakfast. Reasonable wi-fi rate of $10 a day.
Be aware that these units are on the main street, near a T-junction, and road noise is obvious and intrusive during the day. Wasn't bothered by any undue noise at night. Bedrooms are pretty much filled by the beds, but this is a comfy enough place to stay for a short while.

Room Tip: These units are fairly old, probably safest to select upstairs if possible to minimise neighbour noi...

We have stayed at these apartments three times in the past five years. They are impeccably clean, comfortable and central. There is always a welcome pack including treats and essentials in the fridge when you arrive. An on site laundry is very handy.
Some of the deco is quirky, but overall a very pleasant place to stay.

Angaston Mews Apartments are clean, comfortable and well equipped. We stayed in the upstairs Empire Rose apartment and found it comfortable. The décor was a bit much for me but I am one of those unusual people who my rental accommodation to be a little sparse. I found that with the blinds open the place was not too dark but I also like lots of light and would suggest blinds which allow you to see out a better option that the heavy curtains in the lounge room. I would have found the space too small for 4 people as we had to use the second bedroom for storage. In the bedroom I found the lighting very poor and would have liked brighter globes in the bed lamps as it was impossible to read when I went to bed for the night.
The kitchen was very well equipped and the hamper was a very thoughtful and welcome addition to the stay.
I have contacted Getaway who do the bookings for these apartments about the issue of lighting in the hall at night and hope they will look into having this fixed as the stairs are very dangerous at night. This was my only major complaint with the block.
I would stay here again as we were warm and comfortable. If Trip Advisor had 1/2 stars this would have rated a 3 1/2 stars.

Room Tip: If you like a shower and not a spa bath take an upstairs apartment and I believe they are much brigh...

We stayed at Angaston Mews Apartments in the upstairs "liquid amber" apartment. The apartments are very centrally located in the Barossa and very cosy.

On arrival (in the dark) the lights were already on in the apartment which was handy. The 2 rooms both had king size beds in them however they are the zip together beds so not the most comfortable. The rooms are pretty small so not to much room for any luggage.

The breakfast supplied is ample and a nice touch. I would recommend that the apartments could do with some additional mirrors as there is only the bathroom mirror to accommodate 4 people in the entire unit.

Overall cosy but nothing flash.
