Great spot on the Yorke Peninsula, shallow and calm beach waters, perfect for young children to swim. Facilities were adequate and clean. The only negative was with management, you felt you were bothering them and we also found them to be inconsiderate as we had requested a 'shady' site as we were staying during a 'heat wave', did not have cooling for our van and also were travelling with an infant. On arrival in the late afternoon our site was shaded and before we set up we tried to work out where the shade would come from during other times of the day, there were numerous trees around and neighbouring sites seemed quite shaded. We set up in the shade (2 hours long) and awoke the next morning to blazing sun, this particular site caught the sun all the way through to after 3.30pm, we were unable to sit in or utilise our campsite, but were lucky enough to be loaned an air conditioner by a neighbouring camper! Because of the lack of shade, it was too hot for my wife and infant son, they were lucky to have my mother in law come and drive from Adelaide to collect them that day, however when she arrived (40C+ temperature) management were reluctant to give her temporary access to the park in her car to collect them and load up their belongings!
I stayed on for a further 4 nights with my daughter, we ensured we did not require the services of management and spent our days enjoying cooling off in the beautiful warm waters, fishing for squid at the jetty and exploring the coast.
