Final stopover on our Great Ocean Drive. Four bedroom B&B in lovely location overlooking the sea. Owners, Andrew and Carolyn, we're very helpful and attentive recommending restaurants and coastal walks. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast helped us on our way. Not too sure about the charms of Robe but if you do decide to stopover then Ann's Place is an excellent choice.

Arrived a little late after long drive from Kangaroo Island and Andrew explained what Ann's Place and Robe had to offer.
Andrew then showed us to our room and this is the best we have had in Australia. Fresh rain water was already cooling in the fridge and fresh milk put in fridge as we moved in.
Very comfortable bed with lovely linen and no need for AC so a good nights sleep was had.
Full cooked breakfast with fresh juice and lovely coffee started our day perfectly.

Highly recommended.

From the minute we entered Ann's Place , we were made most welcome . Room was well appointed, clean and tidy. Unfortunately the spa bath was not in operation due to health reasons. A hearty cooked breakfast was included in the tariff . Would highly recommend .

This was a great find and no thanks to the local Information Centre, who never mentioned it when we enquire. We received a very warm welcome from Carolyn and Andrew. They really care about their guests and want them to have the best possible experience. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable, everything you needed. Breakfast was the best we had on our 5 week tour of southern Australia, a perfect end to our perfect drive from Melbourne to Adelaide. Highly recommend Ann's Place.

Room Tip: There are no down sides to Ann's Place

We stayed only for one night but would thoroughly recommend this B&B. Carolyn and Andrew are such great hosts and care very much about their guest's stay even though we all seem to only stay one night as we are passing through from Adelaide or Melbourne. A very welcome tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival. Helpful suggestions on what to see in Robe [coastal walk very scenic], where to eat etc. Pretty town with some upmarket shops. Very tasty breakfast in the morning. GF options available just let Carolyn know on booking. Room very clean and large!
Great stay!

Hi Claudia,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for Ann's Place. I am so sorry the smell in the room affected your stay. The smell to which you are referring is actually the smell of new carpet.
It was laid at the end of August before our new season opened and is a very good quality wool carpet. Unfortunately new woollen carpet has this smell and will eventually disappear but we certainly hope it happens quickly!
We were delighted to hear you enjoyed the rest of your stay.
Kind regards,
Carolyn

Robe was originally for us just a stop between Melbourne and Adelaide, but it turned out to be an unexpected treat. Room was great. The breakfast granola/muesli was wonderful (so much so, that we asked for the recipe and have since made it; but not as well as our host had). Hosts Carolyn and Andrew were friendly but not overbearing—perfect innkeepers, in other words. My only regret is that we stayed only one night. Robe, BTW, has some fine restaurants.

Room Tip: All great. You cannot go wrong here.
