“Barossa Charm!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 April 2014

My partner and I stayed in early January and it was the perfect start to our new year!
Location is fantastic (walking distance to a few wineries and only minutes from town) and the rooms were cosy and very comfortable to come back to after a day out at the wineries.

Judi and Lee were warm and gracious hosts and their Barossa House is delightful! Breakfasts are delicious with fresh local produce. They recommended dinner at "1918" restaurant - where we enjoyed one of the best steaks we've ever had!
Lee took us on a private day tour to multiple wineries and Maggie Beer's farm shop. Was a fantastic day out.

Would not hesitate to recommend Barossa house to family and friends.

It's a while since you sent in this review and we apologise for not responding any sooner than this! We really appreciate your very kind comments and are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Great to know that the recommendation for 1918 restaurant was good and that you had such a lovely steak. Thanks too for the comments about the wine tour and that you had a fantastic day out.
Thanks again, Judi & Lee

Me and my partner stayed for two nights. We had driven from NSW to VIC so once we arrived at the house, it was close to 7pm. A note was left at the door but Judi and Lee was still around to say hello. The garden was lovely to see and explore. The house felt welcoming and breakfast was very nice. The room was small but cosy and we had a lovely port and chocolates waiting for us, when we arrived. The bed was comfortable, although the website stated a queen size bed but it was more a double bed. We had a wine tour included in the reservation and this was fantastic. Geoff was a great guide, having a good knowledge about the area and friends with locals.

We had 3 nights midweek at Barossa House and were delighted with the experience. It is located between Tanunda and Nuriootpa, close to the start of the Seppeltsfield Road. Lee is a warm and attentive host, producing delicious breakfasts to order, and a veritable encyclopedia of knowledge about the Barossa. We were upstairs in the suite and it was just lovely - spacious and graciously appointed. We slept like logs! It was everything we'd hoped for.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Barossa House for a night in February. The garden and surrounds were lovely and the location to Tanunda and Angaston was great. I wish we had stayed 2 nights!! The room was clean and comfortable and Judy cooked us a wonderful breakfast the next morning. I have recommended to my family and friends.

This guest house is in between Tanunda and Nuriootpa, right in the middle of the Barossa Valley. Our room was generously apportioned, and the house is traditional in style set within peaceful grounds. As the house only has 4 guest rooms, you are really made to feel welcome. The hosts Judy and Lee are friendly, provide a fantastic breakfast and loads of great advice on where to go in the Barossa/Clare Valley and what to see and do.

Thank you Judy and Lee, you made us feel extremely welcome, we loved the house, the room, the food and the general environment.

This guest-house is highly recommended.

I stayed at Barossa House the night before my wedding, as I wanted somewhere nice to get ready in the morning and be able to get superb pre-wedding photos. My Mum and 4 bridesmaids also stayed with me, and we just had the most wonderful time - would not have stayed anywhere else! I was in the front room, it is so beautiful and very comfortable. I have to say the biggest thank you ever to Judi and Lee for going above and beyond with service - such lovely people! They let me have a hairdresser, make up artists and photographers at the BnB all morning. A special mention for Judi's breakfast, absolutely stunning and so much food! She also provided us with food later on in the morning/afternoon as the limo didn't pick us up until 1pm, we really appreciated this! And the garden is so beautiful with all the roses, I spent a lot of time getting photos out there. What a fantastic experience! I will always be grateful that Judi and Lee contributed to making my wedding day the best!
