We had a wonderfully relaxing stay in this historic cottage with every modern convenience...apart from internet, which can be an advantage for a couple of days....In fact, we had the best 2 nights sleep of the whole 3 week trip in Bethany Cottage. Maybe there's a connection here! The provisions left by Carol and Erich were beyond generous, and you will find everything you could possibly need in the cottage. When you walk into the cottage, it's like stepping back in time, so you have some sense of what life must have been like for the early settlers, from all the artifacts in the garden and the cottage itself. But every modern convenience is supplied(apart from wifi) and the rain shower is to die for! It's a great location for exploring the Barossa wineries, and it was lovely to sit outside every evening tasting some of the wines we had found during the day watching the sun go down over the wineries. Heaven!
Carol was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I booked a one nights stay very last minute on a long weekend and Carol was so lovely and accommodating! Her response time was extremely quick and she was so understanding about my dog.
The cottage itself is cute and cosy. Comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. If I was heading to the Barossa Valley again, I would stay at Bethany Cottages.
Carol was lovely and her cottage is super cute! I'd highly recommend for anyone looking for something private and fun. Great location too!
If you're looking for self-catered country charm amid the vineyards of the Barossa Valley, look no further than Bethany Cottages. The cottages (there are two) are set back off a quiet road in Bethany, just up the road from Tununda. They sit amid old farm buildings and machinery and a pretty garden ... a lovely trip into our pioneering past. We stayed in the Cellar Cottage for three nights and would have loved to stay for more. It was very comfy, very cosy and well placed for exploring the Barossa Valley. Our hostess, Carol, was very obliging and helpful. The only drawback was the lack of wifi. (maybe not such a drawback after all!)
Great little cottage to stay in at the Barossa. Close to all the wineries. Clean and tidy. Very cute cottage !
Lovely cottages in Bethany with friendly hosts and a central location. Travel to all the wineries and taste some on the best wines in the region. Comfortable heritage cottages set in a vineyard.
Thanks Carol for being so accommodating and welcoming during our recent stay in the Barossa. We loved the cottage and the children were fascinated with the history displayed throughout. Highly recommended.
