“Good for a stopover”
Reviewed 25 July 2014 via mobile

Stayed here en route to skiing, and it was excellent value. The heritage room was not huge, but the bed was comfortable. The room was simple but was all we needed and was clean and warm enough. Breakfast at cafe velo was very good and the coffee was fantastic. I'd consider coming back in summer and staying for a couple of nights.

Lovely stay, was only a quick one nighter on the way to the snow but would definitely choose to stay again. Comfortable cozy warm clean room. Actually chose the "so small its hard to swing a cat" room from very honest description on the internet (because it was the cheapest room available) but think I got an upgrade to a much bigger room because the place was not fully booked midweek. Certainly was room to "swing a cat" in my room. Quiet location at the end of the street, off street parking. Host Wayne was very welcoming and if I could have stayed awake would have loved to have watched Le Tour with him in the café with the log fire. Very yummy healthy breakfast in the café in the morning. Great coffee!

Room Tip: Good, honest description of rooms on their web site for you to choose your preference.

We only stayed here for 2 nights but this place is now our first choice for accommodation in Bright. The rooms are large and bright and clean with all amenities you could ask for. Perfect for our family of 3 kids. The host was very friendly and hospitable.

We just stayed one night on our way to the snow. Our host Wayne, was welcoming and friendly, he showed us to our room and checked it was warm and cosy. The rooms in the old part of the building are small but adequate for a one night stay.

This place was excellent value for money. Offers a fantastic mix of heritage and groove. The cafe with log fire was a great place to chilax and drink an excellent coffee. Very, very clean and great hosts. Highly recommended. It's so eclectic that they house an Indian restaurant too - which serves wonderful curries I might add.

Excellent decor with some classic material.
Warm and welcoming environment and a must for any cycling fan.
Was there during this year's TDF and they had it beamed on a flat panel screen
Great chai latte's too!

We stayed in room 24 recently, in the older part of the hotel. Although small, the room has great character to it, was spacious enough (especially for our short stay), and cosy and comfortable. The owners were lovely too. Definitely recommend, and will stay here again
