Arrived in Norseman after a long days travel. we were advised not to go to this motel by a local, however all other accommodation were full. On arrival the Eftpos machine was not working and we were asked to pay in cash by the front desk lady. This lady was very pleasant explaining that management would not allow any people in the rooms unless they had paid. Said this was through no fault of our own we couldn't pay and assured the lady we were not going to abscond. We unpacked our gear into the two units we had 2 rooms for two couples. which were next to each other. A short time after we had unpacked the female manager appeared and requested payment with a somewhat aggressive attitude. We decided not to dine in their dining room on site because of the attitude of this lady but chose to dine in a local establishment where we withdrew money from an Eftpos machine at a cost, instead of being able to use our debit card. The attitude of management at this motel was disgusting. The motel units were clean and tidy but TV in one of the units only had one fuzzy channel. We paid our account after we returned from our meal.

We had not intended to stop at Norseman but were feeling tired and decided if we could get a room we would stop over for the night. Staff at the Norseman were very good and even though the motel was full of repair crews due to a derailment on the Esperance line we were given a good room very close to the dining reception area. We decided to try the dining room for dinner that night and were very pleasantly surprised, the food was delicious and beautifully presented - equal to any good restaurant in the major cities. There was a large open fire in the dining room which gave the room a delightful ambience. Our bed was very comfortable and there was sufficient hot water for both of us. The next morning we wanted to have a very early start so we had breakfast next door at the BP service station which was excellent value for money. All in all, an unexpected surprise and we will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: We were in room 49 which was next door to reception and the dining room. Great for those cold eveni...

We had driven from Sydney to Uluru and then back to Perth. This was not our first stay here. The rooms are basic but very clean and tidy. We had dinner in the restaurant and the meals were great. If you stop by in winter, you must try the Chicken and leek crepe. Compliments to the chef. We had an American waiter on his first day on the job who was fantastic. He was very friendly and chatty and excited about being in Australia and he is soaking up the Australian culture. We will definitely be back.

Great location for travellers. Beautiful rooms. Large, clean, excellent decoration, comfy comfy bed. Small restaurant but didn't eat there. Biggest gripe was the bad attitude from the check in lady...what a shame! Not necessary. Pool looks nice. Pricey but I like it. Best motel I have stayed in recently.

We stayed here on the return journey across the nullabor. It's expensive but when there's no-where else what do you do? Like others we were told how busy they were and I felt a little as though we were imposing to begin with but the staff in restaurant relaxed somewhat as our meals were brought and the food was surprisingly good, especially after roadhouse burgers etc!! The rooms were clean and comfortable but don't expect to sleep much. It's noisy til everyone pulls in for the night, inc the trucks in petrol stn next door and you can hear everything in adjoining rooms and then it's noisy again at first light when everyone departs on the next leg of their journey.... It served it's purpose but I was glad to leave.

Room Tip: There is no choice of room...

Driving back from Perth to Adelaide.

Very dIsappointment in this hotel.

If you can drive to the next hotel or book in advance or chose another hotel/motel.

Paid $165 for the night. Was told we can not eat at the motels restaurant as they too busy but to go over to the BP road house next door.
Went to have a shower in the morning and had no hot water.

I would not recommend this hotel at all
