On vacation with my family of 4 and thought we'd play a little mini-golf at Professor Hackers. Only did the golf, but the entire facility is well maintained and has lots of parking and is right on the sound. This place is designed to make money...it's a gold mine that Professor Hacker has definitely found. It cost almost $40 for 4 people to play so not cheap and the place was packed. Despite that...it didn't take too long before we were boarding the train to take us up to the starting holes. There are 2 courses, Diamond and Gold I believe...we played the Gold and it was fun. The holes are designed to keep things moving so none of them are very difficult...but they are well done and well maintained. Had 3 holes that were inside the mountain which I didn't particularly like because it was hot and muggy inside...though might be some relief during the day I suppose. It was more crowded when we left and seemed like the line was even longer. Probably took an hour to play including the waits. Don't forget to ask them when you turn in the club which hole was the free game hole. If you got a hole in one on it (they check your card first) you win a free game. All in all it was fun but probably not a great value as compared to the aquarium...

My family has visited this facility many times over the past decade and it's fun enough for us to keep going back! There are 2 golf courses that are fairly challenging and nicely maintained. However, the go-karts are SLOW and there are better choices for go-karts in the Emerald Isle area - do not waste your money on these.

We went on my daughter's 16th birthday and had a great time playing mini golf. We were too hot and tired to do much more but the rest of the place (go karts, bumper boats, etc.) look like a lot of fun too. Enjoy!

The kids (ages 5-20) and a few of the adults in our party go here at least once every time we visit. It is a good option for kids who may want a change up from the beach. It is close if you are on the island (between mile marker 10 and 10.5) and we usually do both mini golf and go carts. The older kids like the go carts best and everyone has fun with the mini golf. Lines can get long at night. The course has a train that you ride to start the round and waterfalls and a lot put into the setting but the golf obstacles themselves are pretty vanilla. Go cart track is short with lots of turns and good place to observe your future NASCAR stars.

$28.50 for three people to play one round of mini-golf, at mid-day, on a course with not much imagination, no moving obstacles, and staff that obviously do not enjoy their work.
