We got there at 5:00 p.m., pulled in and asked the ranger if it was too late. His name was Andy, he was totally cool. He said they were open until 6 p.m. and told us an hour was plenty of time to get up and back. He also told us were were the only visitors there at the time and we had the whole park to ourselves. We parked right by the entrance. It's a 1/4 mile very easy walk up to the top of the falls, you walk along side the rushing river the whole way up. The views while walking up are just as beautiful as the actual falls itself. We had a great time and took tons of pictures. When we came back we talked to Andy for a few more minutes. He lives in a small quaint house right there at the entrance of the park. Turns our he is a former para trooper. Totally just a great down to earth guy, he loves his job and we enjoyed talking with him. Tip in general for life and when your traveling, be nice, be polite, be respectful and always talk to the locals, you'll get the best tips, and hear fun stories that will make your vacations more memorable.
