“Saluda is beautiful ”

Hiking in Saluda is great. However this little town is also known for it's waterfall treks nearby. Canyoneering is big here which is rapelling And hiking in waterfalls, cascades and streams. The little town of saluda is home of the outpost of green river adventures and a cute drive.

“An easy hike with a big pay off at the end!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2014

A pretty 1/4 mile uphill trail leads you to a beautiful series of waterfalls, culminating in quite a large one. The path runs right along the river, and is well shaded, so it is cool in even the hot days of August. Almost anyone who is mobile should be able to navigate the trail in its' entirety, especially as there are benches placed strategically along the way. Take your time and enjoy!
New restrooms are very helpful, and there are many well placed picnic tables. Admission is currently $5 per adult and $1 per child, which Tryon Garden Club uses to continue improvement and maintenance of the park. A lovely way to spend the afternoon!

“Breath taking!!!”

Enjoyed every minute of this off the beaten path private park. Short little hike to get the main waterfall but the views are spectacular. It's so peaceful & it's not crowed at all. $5 for each adult and a $1 for kids but I would pay it over and over to see this piece of heaven!

“Private paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

We got there at 5:00 p.m., pulled in and asked the ranger if it was too late. His name was Andy, he was totally cool. He said they were open until 6 p.m. and told us an hour was plenty of time to get up and back. He also told us were were the only visitors there at the time and we had the whole park to ourselves. We parked right by the entrance. It's a 1/4 mile very easy walk up to the top of the falls, you walk along side the rushing river the whole way up. The views while walking up are just as beautiful as the actual falls itself. We had a great time and took tons of pictures. When we came back we talked to Andy for a few more minutes. He lives in a small quaint house right there at the entrance of the park. Turns our he is a former para trooper. Totally just a great down to earth guy, he loves his job and we enjoyed talking with him. Tip in general for life and when your traveling, be nice, be polite, be respectful and always talk to the locals, you'll get the best tips, and hear fun stories that will make your vacations more memorable.

“Nice walk”

Really enjoyed the walk to the falls. Not many trees or plants I.D.'ed as stated. Bridge was covered in moss, beautiful.
