This restaurant has been a frequent atop for our family when in Southport. Fun beachy decor, good food, but long wait on food. Wonderful views of the boats.

Visited last week end to dine and see the entertainment...hostess was determined to seat us as far away as possible. First to the far end of a deck. When I objected, got a sour look and she marched us to the far end in the opposite direction and dropped us next to a large table with rowdy kids and stalked off before I could say anything. Finally found a friendly waitress who helped us to a nicer table closer to the music. Recommend a customer service class for the hostess. :) The entertainment was not bad but a little one-dimensional. He did have a great way of getting the audience to participate in sing-alongs, etc. The food was the standard beach fare , somewhat over-priced as is usual with water-side establishments. The fish in the fish and chips was small in portion and came with stale-tasting chips of some variety instead of hot french fries which would have made the dish more palatable. The beer was good! We're locals and as I mentioned, we came mainly to see the entertainment. There are much better eateries in the area (i.e. Turtle Island). We'll probably be back with out of town guests who request it but not until then.

Visited with a party of nine, three young children. Chose to sit outside, on water, and it was an outstanding experience! Bourbon salmon, lettuce wedge, salmon blt, and Fishy Fishy tacos were all perfect. Appetizers of crab dip and buffalo shrimp were the best ever. Two years ago we could have sat and watched them filming Safe Haven while we ate! Waitress Amanda was very attentive and even brought our little ones chocolate milk with whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle!

The food was very good, but a little pricey ( we found that to be true at most places along the water). Very nice waitress and staff in general.

This was one of the locations we wanted to visit because it was in the movie, Safe Haven, and was close to the set. We sat on the outside deck and enjoyed watching the boaters go by and sea gulls fly overhead. It was pretty busy and had a fun atmosphere. The food, however, I would rate as average. I would recommend visiting if you are into the "Safe Haven" experience.
