This place is so quaint and romantic. It's hidden behind a great oak
Huge portions and great staff. Hope it stays a secret so I can have it all to myself

There aren't many tables but the atmosphere is almost like walking back into a more genteel era and attending a small dinner party at someone's Victorian home. It was quaint and intimate feeling and there seemed to be just one waiter. Was it the owner? The dishes were more inventive than many and the favors were rich and sumptuous. We got a lot of personal attention from our waiter who seemed to be genuinely concerned that we were happy with each thing we ordered. He recommended a good wine and was helpful without being obtrusive.

This was lovely. The restaurant is quaint and the food is strictly fine dinning. The Mediterranean Bake was so delicious. My husband had the Buffalo Meatloaf. Presentation for both was lovely. Taste was a treat. Portions were very generous. We will return.

We ate here with friends in February during their special Mardi Gras days. Beautiful restaurant in an old house. Love the different rooms, the separation of tables lends a very romantic and private ambience. Elegant food.

Live Oak Café is a great place to go for a romantic dinner or just a casual night out. The food is superb and the staff is lovely yet the prices are reasonable for what you get. Some of the appetizers are a meal unto themselves...I recommend the duck crepes by far!
