“ Very Good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 January 2014 via mobile

Had lunch. Very good shrimp.Healthy portions. Loved the homemade potato salad & slaw. Awesome tea with endless refills. Esp appreciate our server, Meghan, for taking extra time, (although she was very busy), for sharing local info, recommendations, etc. She truly went out of her way for not only us, but others as well. We will return to enjoy both her smile & the good food served up.

“Best breakfast(and only) around”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 January 2014 via mobile

Love this place! We only eat there for breakfast, which is some of the best country cooking in North Carolina. Everything is buttery but not greasy and perfect for a large brunch meal. Their eggs and biscuits are very tasty. Lunch is not that great, so I recommend going for brunch.

“Breakfast is a tradition when vacation is over”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 December 2013

We have spent a week each summer on Topsail Island for the last several years. Each year, as we leave, we stop for breakfast. Even though the restaurant is always busy, we have always had great service and the food is good. They have a wonderful breakfast menu and everything we've tried has been well prepared.

“the locals know best”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 December 2013

As we were heading home we decided to stop here for a sit-down breakfast. Our food was very good and the home fries were flavored to perfection. Our server was very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is fun with the colorful murals on the walls. The month at Topsail flew by too fast. With talk of replacing the old swing bridge with a tall modern one it's always sad to leave not knowing if it will be there the next time you visit.

“Very fresh seafood”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 September 2013

Stopped here on a whim when we couldn't find the restaurant we were really looking for. Glad we did. I ordered shrimp and scallops. Both were very fresh. The breading/batter was very unusual, but light and tasty. The hushpuppies were the best we ever had. The coleslaw was crisp and fresh. My wife had the soft shell crab sandwich, which was delicious. The young man who waited on us was very polite and personable. They weren't very busy on a Monday evening and we didn't have to wait very long for our food to arrive. Spent $40 for 2 people, tax and tip included.Would recommend this restaurant.
